So killing animals and treating them as objects is bad?

Hah this is what i always think:" peta bad, peta kills dogs"... so killing animals is wrong?

u/KoYouTokuIngoa flexitarian Oct 05 '25

Nah it would be ok if peta sold their flesh after

No you god damned fool, dogs are pets. Killing pets is bad. Killing animals is good and they are yum

I said that one time to a guy that brought up PETA killing peoples dogs or some bullshit. and he said with a straight face, that its not that killing animals is wrong but its the hypocrisy he has a problem with

Hahaha "i dont care that you killed my mom, but the hypocricy of it yk🧐🤔🤔🤔"

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '25

It's not about that at all. The issue is PETA stealing other people's food.

Oh yeah I legit got in trouble at chool for refusing to take part in a disection. I then drew a dead pig on my whiteboard and got sent out of the classroom. Didn't get in any trouble for it though

Um, yeah it's the purpose the whole organization was originally started for. Pet Execution Terrible Association. It's right there in the name. Clueless vegans.

When I send my dying pets that nobody will adopt to peta, and then am shocked that peta euthanized them 🤬

They would pretend stray dogs don't exist and instead buy some inbred purebred, just like the rest of us animal lovers!

ethical 👏 breeders 👏 exist 👏

u/Hoopaboi Ethical dog meat Oct 05 '25

That's not the issue. It's the fact they let the meat go to waste.

So disrespectful to the animal.

Love euthanizing cancer ridden orphans

Stupid vegoons, don’t you understand a cat with every limb amputated is a fighter? Just like my nana: 100 years old, dementia, heart failure, cancer, diabetes, COPD, and full code. Save the animal and give nana CPR!

u/Elemor_ Oct 05 '25

Meat eaters when they bring up that 11 year old case of PETA taking an unleashed, uncollared dog from an area with lots of stray dogs

6

u/Delicious-World-977 vegan Oct 05 '25 edited Oct 05 '25

I know, right? I just don’t understand I mean, if I were to gather a group of homeless people in my area and euthanize them, people would go insane.

10

u/IDoBeVibing745 vogon Oct 05 '25 edited Oct 05 '25

to be fair, I think the main issue people have is that they were pretty much immediately euthanized.

u/We-all-gonna-die-oh lacto-vegetarian Oct 06 '25

Actually, no.

If you search for this topic on reddit for example, there is a whole fake story how Peta's employees were befriending the family which owned the dog to then steal it from them and euthanize because they're evil.

This is what actually people are getting mad about.

14

u/littlegreyflowerhelp kosher Oct 06 '25

If I recall correctly as well, in addition to the dog being uncollared and unchipped, it was in pretty poor shape and probably wasn’t being cared for by the family, so understandably it was thought to be a stray

4

u/IDoBeVibing745 vogon Oct 06 '25

I've personally never seen people say that but I'm sure some do. People will always find a way to make stuff up about things they hate so they can hate even more

12

u/We-all-gonna-die-oh lacto-vegetarian Oct 06 '25

They do for sure. Here's the thing what I was talking about: fake story

But probably the most insane stuff bashing Peta on reddit I've seen was a post with 40k upvotes that takes as fact a troll post on Quora lmao

84

u/Arxl kosher Oct 05 '25

If PETA sold the meat and skin then they'd be on the same terms as your beloved family farm, that's clearly the disconnect.

38

u/Hoopaboi Ethical dog meat Oct 05 '25

"They bought a bunch of lobsters and released them into freshwater, thus killing them, PETA so dumb heheh, amirite guys?"

"Source?"

*Cue OP's post*

Seriously, typically false claims like this have some twisting of facts at the least, but this one is completely made up.

Peta throws red paint on mink fur traders to cut the competition for their family pet jacket business

I don't care it only happened once. Anyway I'm gonna go eat a burger, it's reassuring to know that animal abuse in agriculture is just a bunch of isolated incidents.

You DON’T understand. I saw a TIKTOK with an ai voiceover that said they DO.

18

u/Skryuska MnGrnVgne Oct 05 '25

Ummm petakills is definitely not run by any beef or meat lobby so it’s a valid source OP

8

u/SanctimoniousVegoon preachy Oct 06 '25

definitely not the brainchild of a PR guy who made a career out of spreading propaganda for the worst industries on Earth, whose somewhat famous late son publicly disowned him for said evilness.

8

u/littlegreyflowerhelp kosher Oct 06 '25

I prefer to support animal charities that operate no kill shelters. What they choose to do with the dogs they can’t rehome is none of my business, it says no kill in the name so obviously it’s better.

2

u/inuzhiro vegetarian Oct 06 '25

this never made sense like why would they do that?? and aren’t you doing something equally as bad if not worse?? 😭😭😭 smh these ppl

1

u/Pod_people I'm definitely on a government list. Oct 07 '25

Wut? Peta kills dogs?

1

u/AskKooky5236 cat meatless on mondays Oct 10 '25

If we just harvested the animals for meat after killing them it would be totally fine actually
