Vegan Protein Database - anything I should add?
https://proteindeficientvegan.com/blog/best-vegan-protein-sourcesHi, guys!! I created this database several months ago (fyi, it's US- pricing and product based). I'm planning to go back through it soon to check that the cost data is still accurate, and add a few newer products (like the vegan eggwhite powder).
I wanted to check to see if there are any products you'd like me to add? I don't have a ton of protein powders/bars so if there are specific brands you'd like added for easy cost/protein % comparison, let me know!
If you have any other feedback, I'll take that as well! ☺️

This database is awesome op! If you have tried any yeast derived protein powders, like Mille, that would be great to add. Also faba bean protein powder.

Can you make a seafood/seaweed allergy option?
I haven't looked through the app to much but that's usually an issue I have with a ton of vegan or vegetarian recipe apps or guides. I did at a glance see that that wasn't an option.
There will be a ton of recipes that use or incorporate seafood/river based ingredients.
Some things like seaweed, Kelp or Red algae is used as a thickener or a substitute in certain plants based milks as an example but it's not really a known thing.
I have also gotten sick at a few vegan restaurants because the staff isn't even aware there's seaweed or something else in their vegan Worcestershire sauce as an example.
Others just use them in general or as a type of vegetable broth. Having the ability to sort them out would be great.

Idk but it’s really not intuitive that you have to tap on categories you’ve already checked in order to clear them (I’m on mobile). I assumed it was one selection at a time, but then after perusing dairy, went back to select vegetable, but the first results were still yogurts. I couldn’t figure out how to get dairy removed.

Hi! So the pop-up is for a free e-book that I offer year-round. It has a bunch of recipes and sample meal plans, and many people find it helpful for either going vegan or figuring how to better get their protein on a vegan diet. People sign up to get this book all year round. I create a new free e-book every Veganuary because I think it's helpful for people to have free resources. The pop-up comes up once every 30 days unless you sign up for it and then it goes away for a year. You can just close the pop-up and it won't come up again for 30 days. The majority of recipe blogs, and just websites in general, typically have a pop-up for the first time you visit their site, and I wouldn't consider them to be fake spam.
As for the two other ads on this page, this is my full- time job so I do need to make money in some way to keep doing it, especially when I offer so many free high- labor resources because I feel strongly that vegan resources should be accessible for everyone so it's one less barrier to prevent someone from going vegan. I intentionally made sure the table itself was free from ads so that it could be looked at free of interruptions. There are two small ones at the bottom of the page. If you find that overly obtrusive, I'm not sure what to tell you because it's a lot less ads than the majority of sites out there. Also, you can close the one small video ad.

That looks so nice!!! Please add vegan egg white powder (Healthier Comforts brand). Each 100 grams has 90 grams of protein and 400 cal. Or on a per serving basis: 9 grams protein per 40 cal per 2 Tbsp (10 grams). Macros are insane. I make custom protein powder out of it using PB2 and other ingredients.
