Anyone just gnaw on a package of tofurky and call it a meal?
320kcal and 41g protein, I'll usually pair it with a red bell pepper and handful of cherry tomatoes. Sometimes you just aren't in the mood to cook!

it has way less of the "fake" soy-y flavor tofurky has it's honestly amazing (kroger brand)

I love all of the tofurky products. My favorite little snack is a couple slices of the ham style with a bit of garlic hummus on a wasa cracker. Also a fan of the field roast deli slices, especially the mushroom and balsamic.

Just watch your sodium for the rest of the day and you’ve got yourself a great idea

I bring packages of this exact kind on long car trips to eat instead of protein bars from gas stations. Sure, it’s better if you do something with it, but I can totally raw dog my way through the whole package over the course of a drive.

I have done that 🫣 it's so good! How can a girl like me resist that protein?

this is a go to for me when I am traveling for work. Great with an apple for an easy meal and much cheaper/more sustaining than attempting to veganize some sad hotel restaurant menu

Yes! In my old job I traveled for work often. Almonds and V8 ar the gas stations, hummus and a bag of baby carrots. Tofurky bricks...

Really wish they’d change the packaging though. Cardboard you have to recycle AND un-reusable plastic bag.

I gotta have something with it, but a few pieces rolled up with a piece of violife is a great quick snack

With a good sauce and a side, you’ve got yourself a solid girl dinner right there

Love arugula. Have you tried making your own meat with lentils and peas protein?

never considered it !! i’ll have to look up recipes :)
(wheat allergy has been ~15 months, and soy ~3 months, so i’m new to it. and stubborn so i was relying on benadryl for a while.)

I didn't know if you can handle soy sauce but just saw these https://vegan-america.com/products/roasted-turky?variant=47655082295534&fbclid=PAT01DUARzSNhleHRuA2FlbQIxMABzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA81NjcwNjczNDMzNTI0MjcAAaf2uPaBqVeBWsV3TYf2fiMH99MDEDGqFJJjNE1EQw-iwqKB4gWFV9-hXjs7JQ_aem_T1wwpBrL-1N6t6Y_ZNZQMA

i’ll have to try if i get the chance !! (money haha). i can do soy sauce, i just can’t do stuff like bread or the full brick of tofu anymore :/ (i am lazy & cheap and miss being able to eat a full brick of baked tofu for my primary meal)

Try smoked tofu, it's even better imo!

Smoked tofu… Is that something that you create at home or can you buy it smoked? That sounds amazing! The closest decent tofu I’ve had Out is from “crazy bowls & wraps” their grilled tofu with the little grill marks on it. I love it! I fell in love 🥰 with this place when I found out you could order tofu and steamed broccoli 🥦 from a CB&W drive-through window!!
