left side: my favorite Japanese BBQ sauce, right side: new favorite low cal substitute with 1/3 the calories and lower sodium. 2nd pic has details.

G Hughes sauce was on clearance at Walmart. Hope they keep selling it

Oh I've never seen this one. I like their traditional bbq sauce.

Any difference in taste?

a little. The low cal G Hughes sauce was really good and close enough in taste that it was worth it for the very slight difference. I'm not good at describing flavors, but I'd say the original Bachan's sauce is bolder with more depth, but not by much.

I didn’t know this even existed, thanks for sharing! What’s your favorite to use this on?

for example, today i used it on a bowl of beyond steak tips with pan fried veggies. Yesterday I made vegan egg fried rice and used this as part of the sauce (added sesame oil, chilies, fresh grated ginger). It has so many uses.

What do you do with the sauce? Use it as a tofu or tempeh marinade?

I add it to any protein, rice, or vegetables

I use it daily on things like veggies, protein bowls, tofu. It's addictive.
