Supercar Drivers on iRacing

How many Supercars drivers have you seen on iRacing, and how’d they go?

I’ve raced James Golding, Nick Percat, Cooper Murray, and Jaxon Evans. All were really quick as expected.

I also know Broc Feeney used to be on it a lot, particularly in Porsche Cup.

I see Brodie Kostecki competes in the Aussie NASCAR League and is winning consistently

Really cool for us as fans to have the opportunity to race against these guys

Don’t mention Aussie NASCAR. I have a friend in it and he is constantly talking about the bullshit that goes on. Brodie and his team are constantly causing trouble in there, and virtually ruining the league for everyone else

Lots of issues with that group, which also includes SVG intent-wrecking other drivers and league organisers letting them get away with it. And penalising other drivers for complaining about it. That’s the main issue. But the leadership of the group is horrible with the way they deal with it as well

A couple of seasons back when Gen 3 first came out on iRacing, I was racing against Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki a fair bit. I've also seen Richie Stanaway racing but I never got in his split. They would show up to the SoF races on (I think) Monday nights.

Sometimes there would be only like 25 people racing, so you'd get to race them even if you sucked (which I do). Pretty cool really, just get out of their way when they lap you and then see if you can follow them for a bit to learn their lines and braking points.

Also, David Besnard races in Mazdas and PCC all the time and I sometimes see him in other classes when their schedule goes to an Aussie circuit. Never see him in V8s though maybe that's just luck. He's pretty good.

That would’ve been pretty cool to race Will and Brodie. I love seeing those other guys in the Mazdas and PCC too, such a fun category to race

Yeah i’ve had Besnard a couple of times, i think once in PCC and once in AP F4, also seen Cooper Murray in advanced mazdas, he drove 30 seconds up the road at Lime Rock

Andre Heimgartner has been doing V8SCOPS this season with TTR. Kostecki won the Phillip Island 500 last season.

Leanne Brown goes pretty good on iRacing

Raced against Rylan Gray in a rookie oval race at Charlotte. Both got taken out in separate incidents fighting for the lead. I hope he was impressed by my save in the trioval

My partner’s from the Hunter Valley so we love Rylan Gray. That would’ve been cool!

Personally haven't noticed many in a while, but it's possible I have and just didn't notice 😄

I remember racing SVG a bunch years ago, and Scotty around when he was starting in Supercars (would often be racing with Shane). Brodie used to race with our league when he was about 14 (before and when he went to America).

Saw Feeney in PCup practice but I didn’t make his split (I’m too low). I raced Jason Bargwanna in a rookie oval street stock race once. Obviously Kostecki and Richie Stanaway are on there a bit.

Kai Allen w13 mazdas, Kostecki wet gr86 lime rock, Cooper murray, broc feeney and jackson evans in GR86 bathurst, Pcup Bathurst and GT3 Sandown

My mate was in a race with svg, Ritchie Stanway and another top tier driver. I think it was Brodie from memory.

But heaps of the drivers are on iracing. Most in leagues much higher than I'm able to be competitive.

During COVID there was a few - but just on Percat specifically he wasn't that bad especially with his dog sitting in the corner of his room. He just got unlucky in the races. But just on Brodie he was a beast on iRacing especially around Bathurst. In fact I think it was from doing as many laps as he has on iRacing why he is so fast on top of the mountain

I see Will Davison online all the time. Haven't raced him in anything but he's always about.

Watched an oval league race that had Brodie and SVG in it which was fun to see.

We have Cody Burcher from Super 2 in our league. He's only raced once - Nascar at Watkins Glen and just romped away....

Heimgartner is getting better and better in SCOPS. Had a good battle with him last round. Kosteki is untouchable, as is Anton.

Andre is such a likeable person. Even as a Waters fan, I love seeing Andre talk his shit and back it up
