But she was inspired by a psychedelic mushroom trip in Brazil, and by the 2014 Reese Witherspoon movie “Wild,”

Honestly, it's kind of hard to make fun of this girl,
But I am going to try.

u/pwndaytripper 2d ago
It’s not really appropriate to make fun of the differently abled, especially when they’re down
21
u/YuppiesEverywhere 2d ago
I bet they'll take a step back, learn from this incident, take the lumps from a huge taste of humility,
and get a new trail name that has something to do with having “puke in her tent, like all in her gear,”

She might be dumb as rocks, but she probably makes more money than you do.

Yeah man I’m at like 60k annually I’m so cooked
If you have kids do not let them work social services it just takes from you and will not return what you give

She's literally an ultralight jerker on multiple fronts. She's memeing ultralight therefore she's with us. Not against it

u/BeccainDenver 2d ago
We got outjerked here because I did not think that title was real. It's a mother fucking quote.

u/YuppiesEverywhere 2d ago
At his rate, they'll only need SAR to rescue them three more times, and will be finished by November 1st.
Hurry up! I want the Extra Ultralight "colab" to happen sooner, rather than later.

The Thanksgiving day finish prediction seems accurate. We were doing the average mileage math last night.

"Today I'm going to submit Whitney. It's the tallest peak in the lower 49 states. I've only submitted one peak before at it was much much much lower." (Paraphrased)

Fucking hilarious 😂 (also the movie Wild was based on a very mid book of the same name by Cheryl Strayd, more commonly known as the voice behind the Dear Sugar advice column and podcast lol...)

/uj she’s doing the PCT, not being an ultralight wank about it, is open about where/what she’s learning, and just drank some bad water. I’d lay off this one.

u/tkdxe 2d ago
/uj I agree /rj onlyfans model doing a longer hike than most people on this sub is making for incredible jerking

The jerk is going full circle

Also has done more nights out than the majority of the UL theorycrafters in r/ultralight

I mean this is prime material but also
/jerkoff Folks really hate that they aren’t hot enough to monetize their hike like she has been. Bad water can hit anyone and she’s hiked longer than most folks here fr.
But haters gonna hate.

u/Iusethistopost 2d ago
/uj monetizing their hike is like the opposite of what most people are probably looking for and some of their reaction is the perception that their hobby / lifestyle is becoming exploited
/rj onlyfans hikers will never succeed because after a week thru hiking I only need the trees to blast off in my pants

u/One-Focus9135 2d ago
She’s Not gonna fuck u bro

u/genman 2d ago
Yeah? Yeah, but we’ll keep pretending she will.

u/One-Focus9135 2d ago
Can i try to think of another wittier condescending comment in lieu of the one you easily disarmed?

u/YuppiesEverywhere 2d ago edited 2d ago
/uj she's now monetizing needing a SAR helicopter rescue and brushing it off as "bad luck" so in my book that puts her in the same group of usual suspects who cosplay as backpackers but can't figure out how to put stuff in a big bag with straps and put one foot in front of the other. Completely self-absorbed.
Seriously if you think more stupid things aren't going to happen to this person wherein they almost succumb to their own hubris and vanity, requiring other people to risk their lives to volunteer to save their ass, you're out of your mind.
This is honestly how people die. She could use some humiliation or she's going to end up on a missing person's list -- we're just need one of those hikers that has also lost grip with reality to cross her path.
You know what she really needs is like a real friend or family member to tell her not to be such a clown but we all find our rock bottom eventually.

I drank bad water on the pct and didn’t need a helicopter ride, I feel so bad ass

Nobody is on the PCT for a “standard” reason. I think regardless of what inspired her to do the PCT, or how she makes her money, she made it from Mexico to almost the top of Whitney on her own legs. That takes serious mental and physical strength. Wether it was Noro or Altitude Sickness that stopped her, a LOT of people didn’t make the top or didn’t even try. Neither of those are character flaws and can happen to the best of us.

Inyo County Search & Rescue did not immediately attempt to rescue Renae

that was one cold ass line. i really wish they had responded to the reporter for a comment. something about respecting that she has to do things on her own terms, or that it is not their role to help with bad uvula hit reactions.

u/pwndaytripper 2d ago
I’ve followed Inyo SAR on IG for years and they put up with a lot of bs. Pretty funny that they drew the line here
3
u/YuppiesEverywhere 2d ago
Honestly cannot believe they didn't even have a few volunteers hike up to check them out. They tell you to call SAR early, rather than too late, right? ...why wouldn't they provide assistance? Full backpacking kit up 13,500' where you're camping just \wherever*?*
1
u/pwndaytripper 2d ago
Idk but I’m sure they have their reasons
2
u/backlikeclap 2d ago
Yeah. It's entirely possible that she called them, described her situation, and they concluded together that she had enough shelter and supplies to rescue herself in the morning.

Regardless of how I feel about this girl and the cringe child sexualization content she posts. I’ve read like 2 articles now saying she got norovirus and needed to be rescued. I’m genuinely curious how she needed to be rescued for noro virus 320 miles up trail at Whitney when it’s what, 320 miles away from where noro was going on. Atleast this article points to she just couldn’t handle Whitney and had altitude sickness
That’ll happen
6
u/JackxForge 2d ago
I kinda feel like noro is just the way the news says "puking guts out" now. Some park official is quoted saying there's a marmot colony near the water sources up there.
4
u/ZealousidealNoise899 2d ago
Norovirus or most other sicknesses will crazy compound any altitude effects.

i'm a Triple Crown hiker and OF girl or not, I ain't gonna shame her for walking her limit. I hope she gets back on the trail soon
2
u/TinyTonyDanza42069 2d ago
Lmao Reese Witherspoon still out here luring OF girls to their demise. It was only after home girl drank marmot pee and threw up on the fans she hired to run a train on her at the top of Whitney did she realize she was in fact Reese Withoutherspoon
