That’s just puberty friend! Plus instead of being a boring person you got to develop an awesome personality and see people for more than their looks :)

by responding this way to an innocent, perfectly normal comment, you're actually outing yourself. way to go.

u/BigusDickus099 6h ago
You looked like a young teenager? Nothing bad about it at all, most of us went through the awkward teenage phase.

You put in contacts and dyed your hair, outside of that you look the same but you never looked bad. Be kind to yourself as it has been said before please!

u/thingsarehardsoami 6h ago
I don't see contacts at all. She had blue eyes before her glasses just made it hard to tell

Congrats on puberty and all the awful things that come with being conventionally attractive. Don't let the media tell you how you should look you're young just focus on you. Good luck.

You simply didn't know anything about looks. As we get older we learn a lot of basic tricks. When we're young we don't necessarily realize there's anything to be done about the way we look, we just assume we're not particularly good looking.

The sub is fascinating to me. You are pretty. But I suspect that your beauty is fleeting and you’re probably peaking right about now. And that 10 years from now, you will be closer to average looking.
It is rare indeed to find someone who is beautiful their entire lives and for most people if they have any beauty at all, it might only be for a short time. Some people grow into their beauty and stay beautiful. That’s pretty rare.
Even more rare are those who are beautiful from birth and stay beautiful their entire life. One of my nieces falls into that category as she came out of the womb as the most absolutely beautiful baby and is still gorgeous as a 20 something.
But look at the bright side, at least you get several years of beauty.

I swear to God people in this sub just hate the concept of the sub. I never see any regular comments.

Right??? It's literally supposed to be when we were young and "ugly", to now after puberty and grown into our features. I don't think anybody even read the rules 🧐

U DID NOT!!! And I guarantee you MOST teenagers share this feeling-
U were beautiful and you are still beautiful!!
Please don’t talk about your younger self like this 💕
U had a great glow up 🔥👌

You never looked bad. The bangs and removing glasses also frames your face differently.

You didn’t. You looked like a normal 13 year old girl going through puberty.

You look the same except you’re using makeup and a better quality camera in the later pictures

u/Worldly-Pie-3501 5h ago
You look exactly the same. You weren’t odd or weird looking. You just gained more confidence. Cute then but a beautiful adult now.

u/NoSystem3204 5h ago
You didn't look bad at all, you were a cute kid, pretty smile amd now a beautiful adolescent!

u/Linseed1984 5h ago
We all did. Haha, the difference between me at 13 and me at 15 is night and day. Sometimes we have to grow into our features. You’ve always been gorgeous and will probably only get prettier!

Sorry but what’s the difference? Glasses and younger in the first? Face exactly the same? I don’t get it

You didn't look bad at all. You looked like a kids who wasn't trying to be an adult! My daughter is 17, she wears sweats, shirts, & brushes her hair, that's her beauty routine right now🤣 But the other girls in her grade are going with their moms getting spray tanned, getting their lashes done, full faces of makeup, extensions, etc... There's nothing wrong with looking like your age!

You did not look bad! You looked young, happy and fresh! Kids are supposed to look like kids not adults. I see some young teenagers now that are just wearing so much hair and makeup that it just looks awful. And I know a lot of it is a lack of self-esteem, or they're dressing and doing hair and makeup like their friends. But it's sad because it's just such an emphasis on appearance. I raised three adult girls and I was really happy that they looked healthy and classy through High School.

It’s so weird to me seeing everyone saying I didn’t look bad before. I got called ugly quite a few times when I was younger and it definitely got in my head. 🥲

Because you were a child. I seriously don't see it as anything else. You look like a normal person.

Hate to break it to you but you don't really look that different. You took the glasses off, have your hair down, and put on a dress.

You weren't ugly by any means then or now, dont be hard on yourself, life is hard enough without bringing yourself down.

Give yourself some grace, you were a kid growing up and you still are! I’m happy for you

You were THIRTEEN. MA'AM. Exactly what type of beauty routine do you think you should have had?? Don't be absurd lol
Love your younger self. You were a little kid.
Even still, you are a teenager. Legally an adult, but mentally still a child. Enjoy your new found sexiness, but keep men's asses in line. None of them deserve us lol

u/themainmattman 1h ago
You were just a young girl in a little bit of an awkward phase. And I guarantee you these pictures are miles away from portraying you in your best light at that time even. Most people’s blurry half-candid pics sitting on a concrete porch in front of some bricks while digging in a backpack aren’t phenomenal.

u/VMarie93 1h ago
I looked similar. And let me tell you, now that I'm 32, I wish I still had friends that were like my cool 13 y/o friends.

There was nothing wrong with the first two, you looked like a normal kid. Find kindness for yourself. You’re the only one who will be there for you your whole life

You were a kid. Don’t be mean, even if it’s to yourself.
