I read it years ago in paperback, lost the book, and just got the same hardcover last weekend at a library sale! I hope you enjoy it. I remember that it gives more of a realistic high school teenager feeling to Laura versus the little we saw of Laura in the show as a drug addict abused girl.

Ray Wise should have written the forward.

Is this worthwhile of a read?? I’m almost done with season 2 of the show and after FWWM and the Return I might need to read some of the additional books

Absolutely! I'd read it after watching FWWM but before The Return

Id read it during/after season 1, Scott frosts cooper book during/after season two, the secret history after fwwm and before the return and the final dossier after the return.

Someone told me on YouTube that Laura Palmer herself narrates this in full. Sounds like the only audiobook I'd ever be interested in.

I think the audiobook is the best way to consume this book. I wish I could find a CD of it!

Has its flaws, but a great read nonetheless.

I'd love to talk about that tbh. What are you thinking for flaws? Not trying to argue, genuinely curious, I like to talk lol

Mostly entry dates don’t match show, even off by a year. Some name spellings differ from show, and some relationship significances and timelines differ too.

Is fun to listen to Sheryl’s audiobook version and follow along, it’s like having Laura read it to you.

I agree, the audiobook is my favorite way to consume this book.

Lol these same inconsistencies are all over the show and film. So weird that was your main takeaway from this deeply moving book. But then again, some people prefer puzzles and some people prefer mysteries.

Who says that was his main takeaway from reading the book? It’s just what he chose to share in a Reddit comment

The author is very active on TikTok. Engage with her there.

I think you misread their comment?

No, I am clear on their comment. Thanks all for the down votes!

a) I wasn't one of the downvotes

b) Are you sure? Because they were saying they would like to talk with the original commenter about what they perceived as flaws in the book.

So what's the relevance of engaging with the author?

Why not engage the author? OP and u/-thirdatlas- both have questions, why not ask Jen Lynch. 🤷🏼‍♂️
