ISO therapist in Tuscaloosa area

Hi! I recently moved to Tuscaloosa and am in need of a new therapist in the area. I would prefer a female therapist who is trauma-informed, especially regarding sexual trauma. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know! It’s so appreciated! Thanks!

There is a great group with different therapists that fit what you're looking for if you think any may be a good match!

I am currently scheduled for my first appointment with Clarity Counseling, they do EMDR there as well as some other trauma informed modalities if that's something you'd be interested in. It's word of mouth only because they have a really long wait list, so no website. But if you're interested the main leader of the group is named Tara Moore, she has some information online.

You might call the Camellia Center at UA and ask them if they know of local therapists. https://camellia.sl.ua.edu

Emily Wilson is in Birmingham, but can do virtual appointments. She is excellent.

Stay away from Druid City Wellness.

Anastacia Rogers also does EMDR therapy like others have mentioned. Very highly recommend
