REQUESTING Shows like Sex and the City?

Anytime I find a suggestion, it doesn’t scratch the same itch this show does. From the music, the outfits, literally everything. The only thing that scratched the itch was Girlfriends but the vibes are still very different

Younger is exactly what I was going to suggest! Similar vibe, fun apartments and outfits, a touch campy but in a fun way.

Gossip Girl is basically Sex and the City Jr.

The Carrie Diaries is literally SatC Jr.

The L Word is lesbian SatC

Queer as Folk is gay SatC

Entourage is boy SatC

Maybe Girls, but if you want to find something exactly similar you won't have much luck, each show is unique in its own way. S&tC had a very specific mood also linked to its era and to the Carrie character. There's no show that checks all the same boxes.

If you liked the witty, fast-paced writing, Fleabag has some similarities, but the setting and outfits are different.

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel for slightly different reasons, but might scratch that itch. Female leads, the music, costumes, NYC, very fun watch.

There was a great little tv series called “Lipstick Jungle” (only 2 seasons, as I recall), but definitely had same vibe and may be what you’re looking for. The hard part will be finding it on streaming. It left Netflix a while back. Maybe on Peacock? Good luck. 😊
