true, though zircon is pretty similar and costs pennies :P

not great for drill bits though

Zircon isn't nearly as hard, so it doesn't stay nice and shiny. But there are plenty of alternatives.

fair, I got my cool zircon rings for 3$ on aliexpress, so I had no illusions that it was the best material ever! :P

Yeah. You probably could just keep replacing it and still have it be cheaper than a diamond.
