With the Vol. 1–12 Remastered Edition now released, TBATE has officially reached its conclusion. I wanted to take a moment to reflect a bit and, more importantly, thank everyone who helped make this journey what it became.

Writing The Beginning After the End started out as something that I largely worked through on my own. Over time, though, it grew far beyond that. With each volume, each release, and each new adaptation, more people became involved behind the scenes to help shape and support the series into what it is today.

Seeing how much TBATE has grown over the years, and how many readers connected with Arthur’s story, has honestly been surreal.

This series challenged me creatively in a lot of ways, but being able to continue telling this story for so many years was something I never took for granted. The support, patience, enthusiasm, theories, memes, fan art, and occasional emotional damage reports from readers were always motivating to see.

So, sincerely, thank you to everyone who read the series, recommended it to friends, discussed it online, or supported it in any way throughout the years. It’s humbling to know that something that started as a small idea became such an important part of so many people’s lives.

I also want to give a thank you to the editors, artists, production staff, partners, and teams who helped support TBATE throughout its run. A project like this grows far beyond one person, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed their time, talent, and effort along the way.

While Arthur’s journey may be over, this isn’t the end for me as a writer. The glory days of Soul Forged aren't just on the horizon, but here, and ready to be our new adventure. Thank you again for being part of The Beginning After the End.

The manhwa has yet to reach the meat of the story. So far, what is your favorite moment in the manhwa?

Idk why, but this one was mine.

I know that Arthur is the main character and it’s his story but I wish we had gotten a look at more characters. Like, I know him and Tess are end game but it felt like he was the only character who had anything romantic going on, I wanted to see what the other characters had going on or a side couple.

Or the quiet characters like Bairon and Windsom. Especially Windsom since we went from seeing him a lot in Arthur’s training arc to him being in and out. I wanted to know why he was so loyal to Kezess, what made him that way. Not saying every character needs a book of their own but I guess for the characters that we don’t see often or the ones that don’t talk much.

No Nico chapters at all or cecilia my god it was like finally peace in this hellish world may come to pass.

Hope y'all like it, probably will make as well for other main weapons that show on TBATE or even on my TBATE fanfiction, that I'm thinking on re-writting.

Can’t believe I went through the last 12 books without realizing the connection. That’s all I have to say.

Edit: He was named Arthur by TM because he was a king in previous life. It’s a connection to King Arthur from Arthurian legend. It was just surprising to me that it completely slipped while I was reading.

Is there any drawings or illustrations of Arthur’s dimension run or clearer images of his God Runes? Thinking of getting a tattoo of them

World Building: 8/10 Reason: Dragons, beasts, mana, mana cores, reincarnation—nothing really extraordinary, so that’s a 5/10 base. Aether changed the game a bit, but since aether itself is a form of life, I’ll give it plus 2 points. Plus 1 point for the good explanation of the land of the "gods." 

Characters and Character Development: 8/10 Reason: An abundance of characters, with lots of them developing and maturing through the story. However, some only give out the illusion of maturing while in reality, they are stagnating (I am indeed talking about that bratty, annoying sister with her inferiority complex). 

Plot: 9/10 (whilst ignoring the ending) Reason: Lots of stuff happening: the past, the present, the future, two worlds, and potential for infinite other worlds. Good pacing, interesting development, and unexpected plot twists. Dope overall. 

Ending: 3/10 Reason: An abundance of unfinished, scrapped, or neglected angles and ideas. Do not obsess over the examples, but here are some: What happened to the dangers other worlds might pose now that Agrona, Arthur, and Kezess are cooked? Will the Ki and restructured body let him live longer, or is he basically gonna die in maybe 50 years, leaving Tessia alone for another 4,000 years? Is that bitch of a sister finally content with her annoying self now that she is superior to Arthur in power, or does she still fuck his brain out for saving her life and everyone else's? Are the twins born with Asuran, Elven, or human bodies? What happened to the wife of Kezess and his body? Who is the predominant clan in Apatheos now? Some motherfuckers gonna argue that they have diplomacy now, but well, reality check: they will need about 4,000+ years to even move their butt cheeks to the library to read what that word means, so do not shit my bull... Why the fuck did Nico and Cecilia-fuck get that ending as well is beyond me. And the aether bullshit at the end about absorption, manipulation, and redirection could have been done so much better instead of scrapping the ending, redirecting everything on the Fate promise, and... As a matter of fact, 2/10 because at least it gave some sort of closure. Sorry, this turned into venting... NGL to the topic! 

Writing Style: 9/10 Reason: The world was easy to imagine, rich vocabulary, and perspective shifts were new to me since not a lot of authors do it. I feel like as I read it, instead of it feeling like actually reading, it was more like watching entire 4 seasons of an anime... and when I remember scenes, I feel like I am rewinding the scenes in my head from the anime. Very dope feeling!!!

Overall: 7.2/10

After dropping the webnovel some time after the Taci fight I have finally finished it.

Bairon is the MVP for me. His character development is about 9 books long and is amazing.

I didn't mind the end but thought the final battle was too quick and Arthur was absurdly outmatched.

Overall, a great series.

Solid A tier Isekai.

So, I have seen the anime upto the latest episode and it looks like your average isekai anime I wonder if it is worth reading the manhwa because of the bland anime.

Man this is just so terrible. Half of the time they just use “flashbacks” of S1. This has to be the cheapest anime I’ve ever seen. And that’s just so sad it’s such an amazing story. I’m done with the anime think I’ll just reread the books or something. The Lucas betrayal andtree horror transformation and fight are just the final straw for me idk why I stayed with it this long. That was so lackluster and anticlimactic. Just terribly shown. One of the peak moments. Just somehow ruined. At this point I hope it gets canceled so there’s a chance there can be a remake later that’s actually decent. What I’d do to have like bind animate tbate. It would be legendary.

If you lived in the world of tbate, what kind of best will would you like to have.

I'll go first: Magmawyrm.

First phase: Simple resistance to heat.

Second phase: The user can elevate their body temperature to extreme levels and discharge the heat at will. This can serve as both offense and defence.

So at this point everyone knows that TBATE was directly inspired by Mushoku Tensei— even said so by their creator, right?

It is pretty much a copy but for the longest time I thought of TBATE as being superior in terms of writing and characters. For example, Arthur (the main character and protagonist) does not take three underaged wives. But I went back and watched MT (which was unsurprisingly difficult) and found the world building to actually be very inspiring and more thorough than TBATE could ever be. To remind, TBATE’s map is literally just a square with each corner being home to the “Dwares,” “Elves,” “Beasts,” etc. So then I went back and reread TBATE, being happily unemployed. It’s literally has the same plot, “no plagiarism here” my foot. I’m sorry but the only difference I see is that he didn’t take on multiple young compatriots and that he acknowledged how messed up it was to pretend to be a new born baby in a happy family. But I want to critique his relationship with the main love interest, Tessia, because it’s pretty much exactly the same as in MT.

Probably like a mild take: if a male character who is much older than a female character raises this character only for them later to be a love interest, it’s grooming.

He knew for pretty much the entirety of their relationship that Tessia had a crush on him, that he would return her feels but when she was “old enough” for him, and that it was even morally questionable for him not to tell her his real age. Did he ever tell her? Not really, it came out in some other way that I forget. But seriously though it’s really messed up that he openly decided to return her feelings without telling her his real age. That’s lying. And grooming. Grooming and lying.

Currently listening to the audio book volume 12 and I'm at the part where Arthur and asuran clans are fighting the adaptation beast, but there's something I don't get, how did something like that exist?

Isit a mana beast part of epheotus or something created by the aether realm that leaked into epheotus?
