Discussion Noob question!

Hi everyone, I've been a Star Wars fan since I was little and recently discovered SWG and wanted to get into it. Do you have any advice for someone who's just starting out, so they don't feel too lost? As a server, I've been watching Restoration, which is what almost everyone recommends right now. I'd love to try being a Jedi, not so much because it's cool, but because I think being a "guardian of peace" would be something I'd absolutely love to roleplay. Maybe it's because I have a similar outlook on life given some of my past life experiences. Thanks in advance everyone, and may the Force be with you!

If you’re looking to be a Jedi then SWG legends allows you to be one right away. It’s a melee class among the other handful available. It’s not the Jedi of old SWG but it would allow you to out of the box start that journey

Restoration is more of a traditional mmo. What SWG kinda started with. It’s not the foundational PreCU that you might hear and it’s not SWG legends aka NGE. It’s a very happy medium with a Jedi unlock system that is completely random. You may not get your Jedi for quite a while on that server or you might get it within a month.

Right now is the best time to get into SWG because there is a private server that is bound to have what you’re looking for.

I personally play and like restoration but above all I love SWG. However you decided play it, play it. It’s an incredible experience

Well, personally, I like it better if being a Jedi is more difficult and, above all, more complex to achieve. It probably also makes you feel more unique and perhaps more important in terms of lore

Then in that case I’d go with restoration. It’s a great server and I’d be more than happy to help you along the way. If you’ve never played SWG it can be a tough one to start.
