A Year In

Hello all!

I have successfully completed theory and am working toward getting more comfortable at 80wpm and 100wpm. I did Champion Steno for theory and loved it. Very straightforward and easy to understand, lots of resources. I'm looking at speed building programs now and am considering Simply Steno.

My question, is there work I could find related to court reporting while I'm still in school? I run the FOH of a restaurant and am very burnt out. Not only this, I would love to start getting my foot in the door to this field of work. I'm in New Mexico, and am unsure of resources here for court reporters. Maybe there is scoping work I could do?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

This is going to be very honest, but I’ve been a CR for many years, and I would want an experienced scopist, not someone who isn’t even halfway through school. The same goes for proofreading.

Sorry. I read 100 wpm and that wasn’t halfway for my program.
