Do you know that by remaining in equanimity, you remain unaffected in all situations and consequently, you will experience eternal happiness?

Okay, I’ll bite. What is equanimity and how do we remain in it?

Well, equanimity is equanimity in emotions - the absence of attachment or abhorrence towards all circumstances, people or things. So true equanimity will bring one to a state without inner turmoil or restless thoughts. With that, the karma of vengeance and hostility gets cleansed. Let's understand the spiritual angle behind this:

A person becomes attached to what they like and develops aversion to what they dislike, thereby continuing to bind karma. But since all circumstances are temporary and bound to pass, one should remain free from likes and dislikes. By maintaining equanimity and settling each situation completely, one becomes free from all karma. And that very freedom brings long-lasting happiness!

One can remain in equanimity by understanding that whatever is happening is the result of one's own karma, which helps one avoid attachment or anger toward anyone and dissolve that karma calmly.
