Nostalgia Some fun facts

https://youtu.be/xIkmkD22930?si=9zvAXqJRS_uZZVNP

Don’t know if it’s just me, but the negativity around South Africa has felt a bit heavy lately. I found this video this morning that just gave me a different perspective. It doesn’t change the reality of our frustrating government, but it’s a beautiful reminder of why we love this place. 🌍✨

Fact #31: South Africa has the most butchered place names of any country in the World. (It's pronounced Boosmunsghut - where the gh is a throat gurgle)!

As a white person, apologies to anyone's ears I hurt while trying to pronounce it

I've hiked up Paarl Rock over a dozen times and I never knew it was the second largest exposed granite rock in the world! Thanks for sharing.

Watched this video the other night when it came up, and what fucking trash gets posted is ridiculous. Can't be arsed to get pronunciations even remotely correct, and the thumbnail is a complete lie.

As far as I know the facts are true, but the lack of human effort in every other aspect really makes you question it.
