Request [Request] Looking for a fun snack with that numbing Sichuan kick, not just spicy hot.

I'm not really chasing heat, I actually love that weird tingly numbing buzz you get from Sichuan pepper way more than straight chili burn. A friend gave me some seasoned peanuts at a party that did exactly that and I never got the brand. I've been hunting for snack nuts, peanuts or cashews ideally, that lean into the floral tingle instead of just being hot. bonus points if it's a small founder run brand and not some mass produced thing covered in MSG dust.

The peanuts you had at that party might have actually been 50Hertz, their tingly peanuts are exactly that vibe, more floral buzz than burn. They do cashews too which are honestly my favorite of the two. If you want to stretch it though, you can fake a decent version at home by tossing roasted nuts with a little ground green Sichuan pepper, salt, and a tiny bit of sugar in a warm pan. Won't be as clean as theirs but it scratches the itch. And yeah they're a small founder run outfit, not the MSG dust factory stuff, so you're paying for real ingredients.
