Subreddit We're the /r/SmashBros modteam! Ask us anything!

Hey r/smashbros, as part of our moderator application campaign, we decided to do an Ask Us Anything, today on Sunday, the 25th of April.

Have you ever wondered how the job of an /r/smashbros moderator works? If you have specific questions, this is your chance! You can find out how the job works, how we feel about specific topics/rules or simply which character we main.

Drop your questions below, and we'll be answering them for the whole day.

If you get interested in doing moderator work yourself, don't be afraid to apply now, since we still have our mod apps open (until May, 1st!!)!

EDIT: Alright, crew, we are officially done with questions at the moment. If anyone has any last minute additions we'll do our best to get to those too. I think I can speak for all of us when I say it was a blast getting to do this and getting to interact with you all personally. See you next time!

Which smash game was your first and has your main changed across different games?

First played smash (brawl) at a friend's house in elementary school in ~2009. I was obsessed with robots at the time so I initially mained ROB. Once I got the game a year later I switched to maining ZSS, with a bit of Ness on the side. I didn't play too much PM but as I recall I mostly played Ivysaur and Lucario in it.

Smash 4 ZSS felt really weird to me, so from when I got the game to spring 2017 I drifted between a bunch of random characters including Ness, Ganon, Lucas, and Roy. Around spring 2017 I started paying a little attention to the competitive scene and switched to Pikachu, who I mained for the rest of the game, supplemented by secondary Rosalina and Corrin.

In Ultimate I expected to mostly be sticking with Pikachu but it took a while to get used to the new rat. I unexpectedly found I liked how Inkling played a lot so for the first year of the game I was using them the most, though I eventually switched back to using Pika more. Up until the last DLC I was mostly just using my smash 4 line-up plus Inkling, but I love Mythra/Pyra both as characters and in how they play, so they're probably my actual main at this point.
