Okay real talk: is there an actual comboing? It looked like brawl 2.0 and I mean the game isn't out there and the meta hasn't even begun, but it looked floaty and campy, when you guys were playing, how much was the hit stun and can you see combos being an actual thing in the game?

I feel like you could see the combo potential on the GF match after all the craziness of FFA Items was taken away. It just seemed like neither player got any due to general sloppiness (because it's new of course, not because they're shitty).

Can't really combo floaty characters like Jiggs and Kirby especially when you add in professional DI from Hbox.

Kirby isn't known to posess much any combos in 64, Melee, Brawl and even PM.

Even though the game is new, I doubt that you'd see many combos in that matchup even if it was on Melee's engine.

Ah good point. But I think my point still stands. Just the reason for lack of combos in that matchup is probably more what you said.

the airdodge definitely makes it much harder as well

The airdodge has a LOT of landing lag though.

a new option is still a new option. juglling and comboing is a little more risky at certain heights and puts a lot off guesswork into what used to be a pretty consistent safe punish

Yeah it's definitely a whole lot different, that's for sure.

It's the same as Brawl though. Except it's got landing lag.

Kirby has solid combos in 64 actually

Yes he does. In 64 he, like every other character has 0-deaths. Stop talking out of your ass. Every character can also get combo'd look at Puff in melee. Kirby can also combo in brawl out of throws.

I wasn't talking out of my ass. I just posted my thoughts too quickly without reviewing them. Otherwise the statement is true.

Puff in melee? Have you watched Hbox sets? I've watched nearly all of them since 10'. Compared to literally every other character, Jiggs barely gets comboed.

jiggs gets comboed a lot lol, uthrow uair? what about nairplanes across the stage? falcon can triple knee, or do his basic floaty combos, dthrow knee, dthrow dthrow, dthrow uair, marth can punish things too but im not too familiar with the specifics because i dont play marth jiggs a lot

Nair-Shine- follow up Upthrow-upair D-air-Shine-follow up Marth throw DI Traps Shiek tilts Etc

Puff gets combo'd. Puff doesn't get brought across the stage combo'd but she gets combo'd.

I'm pretty sure Kirby and everyone else could pretty much 0-death combo in 64.

Do you see the strikeout that was there when you made your comment?

Nope, my bad, on mobile so things like formatting that stuff on this app don't show up.
