[Melee] Hi, I'm Dr.Peepee, ask me anything!

Hey guys, I was asked by Prog to make this post, and it sounded pretty fun so I decided to do it. I love talking to people and about smash so this is right up my alley haha. Like the title says, ask me anything!

I'm quite bad at spacing and DI in melee. Are there any exercises you could recommend to improve this issue, other than practicing against people?

Spacing is hard without practice, so practice doing all of your moves out of various movements and other moves and hit with them at different spacings. For example, Falco's Dair is quite important to know how to space, so I may try lasering/dashing/WD'ing/jumping from platforms at different angles and Dair'ing to see how to space out of different techniques. Practice and test which methods are good vs people, and keep refining your spacing training!

DI is kinda tough since there are a few important ways to do it. You can let a CPU hit you or you can run into a motion sensor bomb and try to DI(or pause then unpause and DI). See if those methods improve your survival DI at least. Combo DI I think you can only really learn with people/certain low % CPU combos, which is super tough of course.

Good luck!
