[Melee] Hi, I'm Dr.Peepee, ask me anything!

Hey guys, I was asked by Prog to make this post, and it sounded pretty fun so I decided to do it. I love talking to people and about smash so this is right up my alley haha. Like the title says, ask me anything!

How did you come up with the name "Dr. PeePee" and your tag "PPHD"?

How did you get into melee tournaments?

Have you ever done tournaments for Smash64 or Brawl?

Whose your favorite character to play with that isn't usually seen in tournaments?

Hahaha knew I'd get asked that first question pretty early. The story is that I spilled orange juice on myself in 7th grade and my friend called me a lot of names for it, one of which was Dr. Peepee. It didn't stick or anything, but riding to my first tournament I wanted people to know who I was with a funny name because I was going to be bad forever. Turns out that kinda backfired!

My in-game tag is more commonly "PPMD," and it's a clever play on the name Dr.Peepee(since Doctors are MDs and the MD is put after their last name in their official title.) It was given to me by a smasher named Yoshiiscool from TN(great guy and talented player,) which most people don't know.

I got into Melee tournaments completely by accident. I was bored one day in the summer of 2007 and since I was playing more Melee casually then, I was wondering if there was anyone out there who could beat my Mario. I decided to Youtube(it was getting a bigger name in my area at the time) search for the first time. "Professional Super Smash Brothers Melee Players." I see things that didn't even make sense and was so fast and WTF until I stumble upon Wak's Advanced How to Play videos. From there, the link to Smashboards led me to my local community, and I began practicing and communicating as much as possible!

I've never entered a smash64 tournament but I think that game is pretty interesting. I have entered my fair share of Brawl tournaments up through the middle of last year off and on, and I even considered playing Brawl over Melee in early 2009 before I traveled to Georgia and performed really well in Melee and never looked back haha.

My favorite character to play that I really never use in tournament is Marth. He's so fluid and fun to play, and juggling and controlling opponents with him is extremely fun and natural to me.

Great questions!
