6 - 12 months 8 month old 4:30 am wake up

Our 8 month old has always been pretty bad at sleeping in the early hours of the morning, but I’m starting to lose it! There’s a few things happening.
1. Hell wake up once through the night for a bottle, which is fine, but if it’s anytime after like 3am he has a haaaard time going back to sleep and we need to hold him or bring him into bed.
2. Sometimes if he wakes up earlier in the night he’ll go back down but then wake up around 4:30/5 and won’t go back to sleep, even with assistance.

We sleep trained him (CIO) around 5 months, his schedule is approx. 3/3.5/4.25 - however when he wakes up super early I’ll get him as close to 9am for his first nap as possible, so bedtime pretty much always falls between 7-7:30. I don’t let him nap for more than 2.5 hours in total during the day.

Advice? Solidarity? When did it end if you went through something similar???

My LO is 18 months and is currently going through the same thing. I understand where you are coming from.. no advice but solidarity!! I’m still trying to figure out why LO is doing this. I keep blaming teething and sleep regression but if it is a regression this is the toughest one yet!!! it’s rough out here!!

I hate to say it but in my experience some kids are early risers…. I was a wake up at 5-5:30 and start my day before having kids. That being said is he content in his crib if you don’t go get him the second he wakes up? My lo will babble and kind of talk to himself and end up putting himself back to sleep sometimes, even sometimes being when I don’t expect it.

I would push for a later bedtime. Baby may only want a 9 hour night. Is there light coming into the room? it could be that they stir at 4.30am and they’re awake due to low sleep pressure and so you need an overall schedule adjustment.

Solidarity. My LO also only slept 9 hours a night. Our bedtime is 8:30pm though so wake up would be around 5:30am which is still early but better than 4:30am lol. It never ended. In fact the nights started to get a bit shorter overtime 😓
