Question / Help Wanting to buy an Octavia
Hey I am looking into the Octavia from 2021 onwards as a family car with the 1.5 tsi.
Any major things I should be concerned about or that I definitely have to check on when looking at a car specifically?
I am looking at DSG and manual transmission atm.
I heard the DSG might be an issue aswell as infotainment / electrical issues.

First thing: Engine oil. Check the stick, if it’s below the max line, it’s a sign the engine is burning oil.
I’d then recommend checking the DSG by stopping at an incline and letting go of the brake. Should be no clutch slip.

The dry clutch DSG has been fine from 2023 but for the highest reliability I’d recommend a manual
