I must say it wasn't easy to come up with something that fits polish regulations but I am pleased with what I have done here 😅

VOZIDLO. Universal slavic word for VEHICLE

19

u/criav 2d ago

Yep, also in Polish (wozidło) it means something like a comfortable car (more or less).

But as Skoda originates in the Czech Republic I thought I will honor it and use something "czech" in the plate ;)

I bet you had a comfortable and lovely trip in your vozidlo!

I don't normally like vanity plates but this one's about the car, so I'll allow it 🤣

2

u/criav 2d ago

Haha, indeed I had, thank you very much! 😂

Road trips are the best! Especially in a car like this 👍

Best one I've seen was M0C NECUM, which means "don't stare too much".

Looking Majestic.

Thanks! Croatian roads are really fun to drive, also lots of tunnels on the highways 🤩

u/Delta-Tropos 2d ago

I love them so much, especially the A1

I was on it countless times, I can probably navigate anywhere with no screen at all

As a kid, I'd even make my own stories about different tunnels and rest areas (especially the playgrounds on the rest areas Nadin and Mosor; the garden on RA Vrpolje and the views on RA Krka, on both sides)

u/criav 2d ago

Nice, sounds great! That was my first time in Croatia, and the photo is from one of the stops on A1 :) (Odmorište Jasenice - Sjever)

u/Gefunkz 2d ago

Croatia has 10% tolerance on highway speed limit. Just sayin

6

u/criav 2d ago

Looking at the locals I thought the tolerance was: "sky is the limit" 😂 I was doing ~140 km/h on the 130 km/h limit and I was one of the slowest on the road 😅 It was quite funny compared to Austria just a couple hours earlier where most people were driving BELOW the limit.

1

u/Notrius01 2d ago

coz austrians have speed traps everywhere especially in modling

Lmao, "VOZIDLO" is gonna get a lot of smiles throughout mainly Czechia and Slovakia, fantastic.

2

u/criav 1d ago

Bringing smiles on faces was the main point of the plate, I'm happy if it works :)

Is it much better than the last version?

Sadly I didn't have the previous Gen. I wanted to buy it (Superb 3, 2.0 280 KM) and was looking at one at the dealership but the interior was a bit dated from my opinion so I decided to wait for Gen 4. And I am really happy with the choice! But I guess there are some people here who switched from Gen 3 to Gen 4 and can share some opinions.

1

u/aberration_creator 2d ago

pikachu face dated interior? :O I had that superb gen and it was imo pretty cool! But it is my opiñon anyway :D

1

u/criav 2d ago

Well, dated as of 2024, knowing that a new generation is right around the corner. At least back then that was my impression. I checked a couple other models and Superb Gen 3, despite being a great car, just didn't look like a brand new car in my eyes anymore. But I have friends who drive it and they are very happy about it. Also from what I have heard it did some things better than Gen 4, while Gen 4 wins at some other angles so I guess it's not an easy comparison :)

u/Sw3ll23bby 1d ago

the 280 hp gen 3 was a total beast in a straight line but you made the right call holding out. the gen 4 cabin is a massive upgrade and finally feels like it deserves the price tag. congrats on the car, the color looks great out in the wild.

1

u/criav 1d ago

Thank you! True, gen 3 has more HP on paper and also a bigger "factory bonus" as they usually end up around 300 HP straight from the factory. In Gen 4 it's more around 270 HP. But power is not everything in cars like that so I also think waiting for Gen 4 was the better option, at least for me. Cheers!

Just came back a couple days ago, 3695 kilometers in total (including some additional driving around the places where we stayed: Graz, Austria > Dubrovnik, Croatia > Budapest, Hungary).

Greate car! What engine? Tell us more about the car pls. I am also looking at a new one (mk 3 fl now) with that colour but I can't decide on the engine.

This is 2.0 265 KM 4x4. Really nice setup, can be very quick when wanted but other than that it is still a comfy car. 4x4 is a game changer and I honestly don't want any FWD car anymore - immediate traction at all times, even when you just floor it on the traffic lights. The overall average fuel consumption based on the ~35000 km in my case is 9.2 l/100 km, but on that road trip I had 7.7 l/100 km on the range of 3700 km, as I was driving quite steadily (many hours behind the wheel, so I wanted to be relaxed).

I selected the Laurin&Klement trim, so it has almost everything that was available, I only left out trailer package, sleep package and tire pressure sensors.

It has 19" wheels, with DCC. I really like how the damping system changes between the modes and I use it frequently.

There were some software glitches in the first couple of months but they were already resolved in an update about a year ago.

Overall I am very satisfied with the car, I wouldn't change it for anything else at that price tag :)

If you have any specific questions feel free to ask!

That custom plate is top tier, enjoy the trip.

1

u/Rady151 1d ago

I was hoping for “SAMOCHOD” on the plate

1

u/criav 1d ago

Haha, that would be too obvious! And also not possible with what can be done with the custom plates here in Poland 🤷‍♂️

u/Caine815 1d ago

Niezłe wozidło XD

Kolego jak się sprawuje wóz? Sam planuję zakup Superba w najbliższym czasie 😅 To jest L&K? DCC hałasuje, czy nie? 🤔

1

u/criav 1d ago edited 1d ago

The picture is taken around Posedarje in 🇭🇷?

2

u/criav 1d ago

Yes! This is one of the rest areas on A1 called "Odmorište Jasenice - Sjever".

u/Sea_Stomach5930 13h ago

With the beautiful Velebit in the background is hard to 🙈

There’s a gap! 😅

From Italia to Slovakia (maybe Austria?)…
But nice car :)

4

u/No-Communication-287 2d ago

It’s Hungary

2

u/criav 2d ago

I believe the Italy you mentioned is in fact Hungary (similar flag but rotated counter clockwise) :)

So the whole trip was: Poland > Czech Republic > Austria > Slovenia > Croatia > Bosnia and Herzegovina > Croatia > Hungary > Slovakia > Czech Republic > Poland

1

u/BisonNo3078 2d ago

Now I see “VOZIDLO” 😂 yeah, it is
