Discussion Art in Transit

Saw this from Yi Zhe Ang's LinkedIn post and honestly think this looks pretty cool. https://yizhe-ang.github.io/art-in-transit/

It's an unofficial project showcasing LTA's Art in Transit (AIT) programme.

The west side is severely deprived of art, or rather new lines.

Oddly enough, they didn't bother to commission Art in Transit on the Tuas West Extension stations despite precedence of AiT being included in new stations on old lines. Eg Canberra and Marina South Pier have AiT despite the rest of the NSL lacking them

Why does LTA hate the West 🥲

Art in Transit only started after NEL, and no new lines / stations in the west were built since then. The exception are the Tuas West Extension stations which for some reason were excluded from the scheme

JRL will probably create an influx of AiT in the west though

Author of the site here! There is a list here which I'd scraped from: https://guides.bloombergconnects.org/en-US/guide/artInTransit/text-map
