Turismo 🧳 Aeolian Islands in July

Hello,

My boyfriend and I are interested in visiting the Aeolian Islands this summer in July. Unfortunately, we can’t take a holiday at any other time. How busy is it at that time of year? Is it too crowded? Or is it fine, with the possibility of finding quieter spots?

Thank you for your reply

July will be fine. I spent a few days in Stromboli in early August a couple of summers ago and was way more enjoyable in terms of crowds than many other locations (for example the Amalfi coast).

Surprisingly, it's rather quiet. I went to Stromboli two years ago and the beach was almost empty. I was the only one in the water. Streets were rather calm, too. Not sure about the bigger islands; these might get more crowded, but I'm sure you can still find some quiet spots. Most people prefer to stay in Sicily and visit Palermo or other big touristy areas rather than go to Mazzaro and take a boat to the Aeolian Islands

To be fair, the Aeolian's are quieter than most tourist spots in July.

But I can't imagine being able to find available hotel rooms starting in June.
