Bloodvials are just one cum dungeon run away...
40
u/Woahhdude24 4d ago
To bad you gotta pay to cum though...

u/Doctor_Salvatore 4d ago
Pay once, cum forever

At least until the next month's payment

Actually no, if you don't remove the chalice, it stays accessible in offline

Just stop getting hit so much and you wont need blood vials

Rally mechanic. Took me hundreds of hours using it properly and not chickening out when I get hit.

u/Chopper313 3d ago
Especially if you’re using one of the two handed weapons they give so much back with just one hit.

This is one of those things that people keep saying but it's never been an issue for me.
The only time I can remember having to leave to farm vials is when I went to Martyr Logarius really early to get the Chikage.

u/Anas2245 4d ago
it's like just kill couple enemies on your way to the boss and that's it, you got blood vials now !
8
u/Daxtro-53 4d ago
a lot of enemies in the later game don't drop them though, but killing a few enemies to get souls to buy them every now and then hasn't done me any wrong
3
u/EdgelordMcMeme 3d ago
By the late game you should have amassed a pretty big amount of vials unless you are playing really badly. It's still shit they are a consumable tho

u/Daxtro-53 2d ago
bloodborne was my second ever soulslike game, i was absolutely playing really badly my first playthrough

But now good hunter that is always how you’ll remember the cummmfpk dungeon, even now that’s how you read it

u/iamathrogate 4d ago
No one else mentioned my fave farm of reverse witches starting from boss room.
I witches on the hill will often drop molotovs, then Practice parry timing against 3 executioners for 4/5 vials each. Die to dogs and Run it again
3
u/BeanBagLlama 3d ago
What if: use molotovs on dogs? Then maybe no die?
Or is the die for reload speed vice using a bold hunters mark or just throwing yourselve off the end of the path?

u/mirrorface345 3d ago
Havent had to farm for vials since my first playthrough 8 years ago. Enemies drop enough echoes for you to level up and buy them on NG. And on NG+ theres so many echoes theres no need to farm at all
1
u/Turbulent_Form3888 3d ago
Same. I vaguely remember farming at some point before Gascoigne like 10 years ago on my first run. Ever since, i always end up with more vials then I actually use, without even buying them.
Once you understand the way the game works, quicksteps and rally, you barely heal and even when you do enemies will drop blood vials to restock on the way . On my current playthrouh I have something 300 vials in the chest without ever buying one.
3
u/Mugiwara-Senju 4d ago
Honestly just use the cummmfpk chalice once or twice and just buy as many as you can and turn an hour long farm into a 3 minute one

u/TheMelancholia 4d ago
I haven't had issues with blood vials since I first played through Central Yharnam 8 years ago, and I usually use Chikage and blood bullets.
2
u/Grzester23 3d ago
Spending one level worth of Blood Echoes on the vials completely gets rid of the issue.
But I'll agree, Estus system is better
2
u/LordAlabast 3d ago
I played Bloodborne without PS+, so I couldn't use online features, so no cummmfpk for me. Bloodborne took me over a year because of blood vial farming inbetween every Gascoigne attempt. Once I beat Gascoigne, I started the policy of buying Blood Vials with ALL leftover Blood Echoes after leveling up on every trip to the Hunter's Dream, and I was never even close to running out at any point after Blood-starved Beast.
1
u/Equal_Intern2322 3d ago
A year?
1
u/LordAlabast 3d ago
Gascoigne took enough attempts that I ran out of vials and had to farm, farming made me run out of steam with the game, so it was on-off farming/attempting for a whole calendar year, yeah
2
u/Drowsy_Deer 3d ago
“You play as a hunter in this game.”
“Cool.”
“Now hunt things for items.”
“Ew no.”

u/Sudden_Dot_851 3d ago
The should've set it up so the first 8 or so vials respawn but the rest are limited.
1
u/SirSilhouette 3d ago
Or they could have used the DLC to add something like estus:
Undying Beast Heart - Heart of a beast born from a nightmare that cannot truly perish. Still beats and pumps blood into empty vials. The fanged aperature ingests blood as its shed, processing it into Blood Vials. Seek out more fangs to increase the amount of vials the Heart produces. Due to its nature tying to dreams, returning from the Hunter's dream will refill its vials.

u/Jim_Freelancer18 3d ago
I just run back through the early areas a few times if I need them or since im on my NG+4 character I'll just buy bloodvials from the birdbath boys since it takes so much to level up anyway

There's always the forbidden choice
Nah for real though I don't see it as cheating to use cummmfpk to fund your vials and bullets and consumables because the other option is to go insane killing the same enemies over and over to restock.
It's one of the cases where the game has a massive flaw so cheating to remove it isn't really cheating. Like it doesn't affect the difficulty at all, it just lets you try again.
That does however kinda make the game pay to win since you need PS+ but that's another argument...
1
u/LordAlabast 3d ago
It's like the Nuzlocke rare candy argument. It's the kind of thing you can't fail at doing, it just takes ages, so there's no real harm in cutting the wait.
1
1
u/Loud_Comparison606 3d ago
I don't expect anyone, not to do whatever they want in the game, because a random person comment, in this case me.
That been said, let be honest... It's still a kind of cheat. Yeah, even for vials.
Its no different than typing a replenish vials cheat code, if it had one.
0
u/ConnorOfAstora 3d ago
Not really, if it was a cheat code you could do in the middle of a fight that would be unfair cheating that removes the challenge of a boss but if it was limited to only in the Hunter's Dream then it would just be a skip for objectively boring busywork and bad design.
Like what does it add to force players to grind for more Blood Vials? What difference is there between grinding for vials in Mensis for a couple hours and just using the Cum Chalice to get that done in two minutes? Aside from tedium and repetition there isn't any.
Either way you're entering the boss with 20 heals (or more depending on your runes) and no matter how many you have in reserves, it's not gonna make you any better at the bosses, you still need to beat them legitimately.
The only difference between those two is how long it takes to get your echoes to pay for the vials. Farming is often done in areas where the enemies are easy to kill so you can maximise the echo gain per second so both options pose the same amount of risk and engagement.

If you've beat bsb they you can get access to the cummmfpk chalice dungeon. Because of an edge case in the procesural generation you can walk in, face the wall and get 80k echos for free.
I don't use it for levelling but it takes away the vial/bullet grind.
1
u/100Blacktowers 4d ago
I mean yes the Estus System is better, but i never found Vial farming to tedious. There are certain spots are any point of the game that let u farm Vials and Echos pretty easily. Could it be better? Yes. Is it attrocious? Not really

You could just smack the enemy after they hit you in order to get some health back. You even get some health back if you keep swinging on the enemy in their death animation.
Or go perform some unspeakable deeds on some pigs in the woods
Edit: for real tho, after you kill Amelia, before you touch the skull thingy, spend all of your blood echoes on blood vials. Then go touch the skull, which progresses the night and makes the vials more expensive.
Do the same thing right before you kill rom, but this time you have to do it before the boss fight, not right after. As long as you're fine "wasting" the tens of thousands of blood echoes, you can probably run around the base game to your heart's content without ever having to worry about running out

How can people complain about blood vial farming in this game? It's so easy! Just go through Central Yharnam a couple times and you're set on vials and bullets
1
u/Unstable_Stills 3d ago
If you don’t use 20 every single time you leave the lantern room…. You won’t need to farm…
Plenty of world drops that should naturally replenish you, especially if you do the early chalice dungeons when you’re beefy
1
u/Turbulent_Form3888 3d ago
Aside from my very first run when I was discovering the game and spent dozens of hours finding my way through Yharnam and grasping the aggressive logic of the game, I don't remember ever farming for blood vials. Worst case scenario, should you ever run out : go buy some. They're cheap.
1
u/Densto__ 3d ago
Werewolfs drop they often, you can bait the fireball on the bridge to gascoine can be baited on the corpses looted, bloodmoon enemies drop them almost always and later on you have the menses pigs and the cum-chalice you can farm to buy vials.
Not saying the system we got is ideal, but it’s not that bad imo.

For a time, I also thought farming for blood vials was bs (it kinda still is). But then I tried to get good blood gems (chalice dungeons are a really dumb idea)

u/Sapphic_Knightess 3d ago
I'm sorry, but if we had infinite healing, then people wouldn't play Bloodborne correctly. You're supposed to be aggressive and having infinite healing would take away from that style. Also, I hate to be that person, but if you're running out of blood vials, that's typically a sign to get gud. Trust me, I sucked in the dark souls trilogy and Elden Ring because of how aggressive I tried to play. The other games wanted you to play cautiously and back away to heal if needed. This game punished those who try to play safe. Blood vials drop way more often than you should be using them, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. And limited healing is a stylized choice as well. Survival horror games are known for their limited healing to make you feel more anxious and scared, which fits into Bloodborne's atmosphere perfectly.

u/Either-Basil4899 2d ago
I always thought having to Farm vials was stupid. It’s less bad that you can buy them. Still dumb tho. Definitely not a problem after ten seconds in the splooge dungeon. Don’t really care anymore now.
1
u/SinglePlayerGamer93 2d ago
I always buy a ton during yharnam before fighting Gascoigne. One run around the town nets you lots of echoes. Use all of that to buy vials and you're good to go for a round half of the game depending on your skill

u/Routine_Tomorrow7897 2d ago
Honestly I don't understand. Blood vials are far from rare enough to need to farm. If anything just use whatever echos are left after leveling up to buy some from the bath merchants.
1
u/bluntfaced 2d ago
I always used to purchase as many bloodvials as possible from game start. Now I just go into the cummm dungeon as soon I can for all my consumables.
1
u/DoomBro1998 1d ago
Well, here's my suggestion on how to farm a lot of Blood vials fast. After you defeat the Blood Starved Beast in Old Yarnham, you get access to Chalice Dungeons. There's a Dungeon where you have to input this code: cummmfpk
This is a Chalice Dungeon where you're only at 1 HP, but there's an enemy that dies before you cross the main room after the lantern. Exit, re-enter the Dungeon, and repeat until you feel like you have enough Blood vials.

u/Borne-by-the-blood 1d ago
Two big boys after short cut unlock in yharnam nearly always guarantee4 vials hunter mark to awaken take less than a minute

This is specifically and only what I use cummmfpk for, especially on repeat playthroughs. I will never use glitched echoes for leveling, but vial and bullet farming SUCKS lol

buy them while they're cheap instead of leveling up, you'll only sacrifice a few levels

u/Exciting_Chef_4207 8h ago
I never understood the "blood vial" farm issue. I never have to farm them.
Not because I'm so good at the game (I'm not good at this game) but because enemies constantly drop them.

u/valiomaito 4d ago
It stayed 20 everytime i ever respawned, even after i used 3 vials once in my playthrough (the living failures gave me a tough time) so i never noticed

u/likeneveronline 4d ago
The blood vial problem can be mitigated by using the rally mechanic and blood rapture rune dropped by the shadows or in Eileen's questline

u/LovestrickenFool92 4d ago
A few specific chalice dives and a few visits to the bath messengers and I never worry about vials again lol a hunter is always stocked up and prepared for anything
