I listen to the Anfield wrap occasionally and enjoy Atkinson but I get the dislike on second captains.

On TAW he's much more open to criticising Liverpool, it's decisions and approach but when he goes on the second captains he behaves more like a soldier caught behind enemy lines. He refuses to say anything negative about Liverpool or engage with the topic fully acting more like a fan than a contributor. That would be fine if that was the brief, but it isn't how any of the other contributors behave so is a bit discordent.

In the infamous audiobed with Ken he literally says he despises the style of play Liverpool adopted against PSG away. In the full segment he makes at least 10 separate criticism of the decisions Liverpool made that brought them to that point.

Find the second captain fan hate for Atkinson odd. He’s better than a lot of contributors. He’s a fan not a journalist. Better than brewin who is a journalist and comes across as a fan and Neil and Ken actually have entertaining exchanges.
