Friend of the show Southampton kicked out of the playoff final for spying
We're in r/brandnewsentence territory but I really hope we just get an hour of Ken's head exploding. Maybe 15 minutes of a guest but otherwise just pure disbelief.

EFL must have them dead to rights on a lot more than 3 if they’re just pleading guilty to that amount. Their form from the end of January onwards was insane.

For every one rat you see, there's another 10 hiding nearby. They admitted to spying on 3 games but they've been at it all season.
Feel for the fans and its not great seeing as we have Manning and Azaz now losing out on the chance to be in the Premier League

As one of a presumably small group of Irish-based, Southampton-supporting World Service members, let me give my own personal take on this.
This is on the club. The punishment is huge and unprecedented, but not excessive, in my opinion. That members of the club would be willing to risk this all, for what must be quite a marginal gain, is disgusting and astonishing. Tens of thousands of fans with tickets to Wembley are now left with nothing, many of them out of pocket for air fares, accommodation and transport. But it isn't on the EFL, who are dead right to set this precedent to deter future instances of this nonsense.
Just as things were starting to look up for the club, with a seemingly great manager at the helm and huge momentum behind us, we're back to square one and picking up the pieces. No doubt plenty of players will be disgusted at losing out on the chance to earn their promotion bonuses and wage increases, the dressing room must be a disaster zone now.
The club need to tackle this head-on and get rid of every single individual involved. Nobody involved can say that they weren't aware it was wrong or illegal, given the Leeds/Bielsa incident from just a few years ago.
Best of luck to 'Boro in the final.
