As someone who only knows when Ireland are playing via the pod. This has caught me off guard. What’s happening here then

World Cup warm up camp was arranged before we played the playoffs. If we qualified Championship players would have a lot of weeks off so this camp was there to keep them training and playing. I don't know why it wasn't cancelled tbh, but I doubt they are training that hard given its the end of the season

Good chance to take a look at new players with no pressure on. Good idea imo.

Yes. No harm in it. Gets him time to look at players who would be normally not included with squads or there as backup.

Hey so would you expect a similar team for the Canada game next month? Bringing all the family (though to be fair it wasn't expensive and it's just up the road).

No. The top flight and Championship play-off players will be available for that. A few of the players from yesterday's squad might be included but would be more of a traditional squad.
