Finally off prednisone after 2 years๐๐๐
Prednisone sucks for all the reasons we're aware of and I certainly had the side effects that people talk about specifically weight gain and I had to do a very slow taper, but i've been off now for a week and feel fine. However, it did successfully treat my my very active and symptomatic sarcoidosis and I've been in remission now for a year according to xray and the lack of symptoms. Here's to hoping that it never comes back but who knows๐คทโโ๏ธ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Iโm so happy for you!!! Congrats - that taper is super hard.
FYI, please make sure you get regular eye exams. I finally got of pred after a similarly long stretch. Months later I had fast growing cataracts that the eye doctor thinks were the kind caused by prednisone. Turns out what doesnโt kill you can make you blinder.

good to see a good news post on here! i got lucky and went off immunosuppressants a couple months before coming down with multiple staph/mrsa infections that would have killed me if i were on them (everything else being the same). i still have the sarc- sterroids and suppressants didn't help it, but it's still a bullet dodged
