Zonie Tourist Check out this jerk in La Mesa
Why not just park further away in the parking lot rather than take up 2 spots entirely and make the third spot very difficult for someone to use?

I posted here over the summer saying I’m sick of the car-life crowd trashing up parking lots.
A bunch of people told me to “find better things to worry about” and said it’s not a big deal.
Well today I went to one of the same parking areas where the car campers park every night and it was disgusting — multiple piss jugs full of urine, a smoothie bottle full of piss, broken glass, and just straight up stinking like piss.
This is exactly why businesses and neighborhoods start cracking down and why more places start charging for parking. People act like these rules come out of nowhere. They don’t. This is why.
I’m not talking about someone quietly sleeping in their car and leaving no trace. I’m talking about people who basically move into the lot and treat it like a dump/toilet.
San Diego shouldn’t have to accept this as normal.

Who was the jerk that made a bonfire at Fiesta Island and let all the wood float into the bay? It’s seemingly like someone built a raft out of pallets and lit it on fire or something… either way now the dog park beach (Little Anchorage Bay) is covered with the debris which is full of nails and other metal. It really only takes one asshole to ruin an entire beach for everyone else. Why do people have to be so shitty?!

Went to mission beach with my family and had the most random aggressive interaction. We pulled into a parking spot and these 3 people start yelling from their Chevy Malibu with Arizona plates. The driver immediately rolls her window down more and starts screaming at us saying “you almost hit my car bitch!”
We were so confused cause we were fully in the spot and I could still open the passenger door with no problem. We even said we could adjust if needed. But then the guy in the back cussed us out and threatened to slash our tires. At that point we were like yeah not dealing with this and just left the spot.
I avoid mission like the plague and the one time we go this is what happens lol
Edit: Thank you all for your comments. The Zonie jokes were funny. For people wondering why I didn’t stay or engage further, it’s because my family’s safety comes first. It’d be a different story if I were by myself. But most of the time, road rage, or in this case, parking lot rage isn’t worth it.

Used to live in the area, jumped off the small arch all the time and always wanted to jump from the "big boy" launchpad. I saw maybe 1 or 2 people do it over time but they probably paid closer attention to water levels and tides and all that. Finally learned where my bootstrap were located, as well as a bottle of tequila for breakfast and damaged my knee and back forever in the process.
Does anyone possibly have any idea about how tall that leap actually is? Im about 6'1 and when i landed, the water was right at my nips.
I cant find any clips of anyone else who was stupid enough to jump from basically street level when the water was that low. I feel like i might have alien footage or something.

Hey so I’m supposed to come to SD from NYC on Thursday for 4 days. I see the weather looks pretty rough this week. Should I make adjustments to my trip? Not sure how bad it’ll be and whatnot. Advice is appreciated!

A military member going around people in the bike lane acting like an idiot in Serra Mesa on mission center road on the way towards 805 North. Zero reason to be driving like this.

Summer has officially begun, the Zonies are here to take over our beaches and their leader is from Phoenix I think.

Something frustrating happened today around 3:22 PM near 3105 Ocean Front Walk by the Mission Bay parking area. It involved a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Las Vegas marked Nevada license plate 4BE8.
We were about to pull into a handicap parking space (our vehicle has a valid handicap placard) when three women ran into the space and stood there to block us from parking so they could hold it for their friend’s vehicle. They clearly saw us waiting for the space and knew we were about to park there.
We told them we had a placard, but they refused to move and continued blocking the accessible parking space.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
These out of town folks make things so complicated for no reason.

Im from Tucson and I think Tucson has much better mexican food than San Diego. The mexican food here is far overpriced and overrated. Mariscos chihuahua and Guadalajara are levels above anything I’ve tried in San Diego. Most places don’t have chips and salsa on the house, salsa isn’t fresh or made well. Margaritas are bad and overpriced. Ceviche here generally sucks and is dry as hell. Mariscos chihuahua in Tucson gives these giants bowls of ceviche, delicious. Here in San Diego they only sell these bad cocteles of ceviche, dry, lacking flavor, the size for a small child, and close to $20. What a joke.
Before you say go back to Arizona, maybe when I retire, I’m just here for the career.
