I want to see where they pop out in the San Diego side!

u/xd366 7h ago edited 7h ago

it's in otay by the 905. came out in a warehouse by siempre viva road

49

u/Purplecatty 4h ago

Isnt that where they always are lol

22

u/Voiceofshit 4h ago

This was years ago irrc, so now they probably always are lol

u/Man-e-questions 22m ago

Yeah its so often, the show Weeds even had one lol

13

u/Disastrous_Stable920 3h ago

8

u/Odd-Philosopher-7365 3h ago

This freaking movie! Amazing reference 🙌

95

u/Brash_Attack 7h ago

If we’re following the method from the TV show Weeds, it pops up in an outlet mall shop.

27

u/Bornagainchola 7h ago

They pop out of Janie and Jack at the outlet. 🤭

13

u/hahayesthatsrightboi 6h ago

Did you say they pop out at jack in the box? No wonder my 99¢ tacos are so good! (price may vary based on location)

5

u/therealhlmencken 6h ago

I get 2 tacos for .99 😎

4

u/hahayesthatsrightboi 6h ago

Real ball knowers use the app (I get them for 1.29)

2

u/Smallmyfunger 3h ago

Did you just refer to youself as a "real ball knower"? Is that anything like an experienced fondler or we talking something else here?

1

u/hahayesthatsrightboi 3h ago

Are you in the business of needing to know or are we just ascertaining street knowledge for a friend. My services come at a San Diego-adjusted premium

1

u/Smallmyfunger 2h ago

This is the internet - I don't pay for services. I'll just download it later.

1

u/hahayesthatsrightboi 2h ago

Something’s you have to experience in person for the full effect.

16

u/No_Loquat_3578 5h ago

860ft is so short that it would make me believe that the tunnel is literally dug on the outside of the border. Not far away

3

u/pimppapy 5h ago

close to 1/5th of a mile

u/awkwardlythin 59m ago

Approximately 1,690 to 1,810 bananas.

6

u/OkPosition9788 4h ago

Oh I knew someone who had a tunnel in Encanto. That’s all I can say.

6

u/Separate_Cherry_912 4h ago

that went to the border? ain’t no way

2

u/OkPosition9788 4h ago

Not to the border but def longer than than a football field or two. It was used for similar stuff.

2

u/leyarsan 3h ago

Similar stuff like?

u/OkPosition9788 34m ago

If you know you know 😉

1

u/Aggravating-Bag2063 2h ago

I’m dying lmao

5

u/DoubleDunkHero 4h ago

She said “possibly connect to a street in San Diego” like they don’t know exactly where it ends 😅

274

u/Background_Share_982 8h ago

They find one of these every 7 years are so, one time there was one going into a kfc or some other fast food place.

Tunnel build quality has definitely been improving over the years.

45

u/Old-Library5546 7h ago

It probably takes that long to build them

57

u/cityshepherd 7h ago

Maybe, but I feel like there are always multiple tunnels being used with multiple new ones be g built simultaneously pretty much all the time.

9

u/mggirard13 7h ago

Great Escape style

3

u/DigLeading9650 7h ago

3

u/mggirard13 7h ago

The sliding mechanism along with the multiple-tunnels-at-once strategy.

-1

u/kenneth_dart 6h ago

Wait until they adopt AI. 😜

18

u/awful_source 7h ago

Gus Fring running the op

21

u/aren1231 7h ago

I have been here for less than 6 years and I feel like I have seen at least 3 different post like this over the years.

13

u/Rocket-J-Squirrel 7h ago

These have been a thing since the 70s, at least.

0

u/galan05 2h ago

You have. And you will see more of them.

8

u/Repulsive_Policy4924 7h ago

Yeah, just lke the 1% of what they catch on drugs!(Verbatim from CBP instructor in Virginia. Sorry not sorry). They make a big stink on the bust, Knowing many more loads have made it . Just a Dog and pony show showing they’re doing something With our taxes, lol because we’re short of drugs in America and illegals, right? never hVe I ever ..blah blah 😑

3

u/OverChildhood9813 5h ago

But now we have 2 border walls!! It must be safer right???!

1

u/According_Top_7448 5h ago

Everyone attempting to justify the billions in intrediction costs for never stopping anything possibly affecting end user costs slightly. One of the worst most destructive policies in American history

3

u/SwillFish 4h ago

I read an article once about a Mexican guy who was kidnapped by a cartel and forced to dig a tunnel with a couple other kidnap victims. It took them several months but they were eventually released unharmed and unpaid for their labor.

u/internet_humor 7m ago

Another job safe from Ai

268

u/Batmanue1 7h ago

But we can't get a transit system from SD to Temecula?

128

u/MAD-1R 7h ago

Maybe we can pay the cartels to build a publicly accessible high-speed drug tunnel from SD to SF.

28

u/a-vibe-coder 7h ago

Make it TJ - SF and they will consider it.

17

u/warmingupmymind24 6h ago

TJ to Canada sounds like an efficient and traumatizing ride.

23

u/ganlet20 7h ago

Or a trolley to the airport.

u/Whatisnotmyproblem 54m ago

Since 1980 they have been talking about it even in the original discussion. In half a century they haven’t been able to figure it out. I’m happy to try a different method via the cartels

99

u/Big_Animal7655 8h ago

NGL I’d pay money to ride that

50

u/DoctorBallsJohnson 8h ago

Mom said it's my turn to ride the drug pulley!

22

u/Big_Animal7655 8h ago

“there is no earthly way of knowing in which direction we are going…….is it raining, is it snowing, is a hurricane a‘ blowing?” 🎵🎶🎵 🤣

1

u/RelevantOldOnion 2h ago

California finally gets a subway

48

u/ledouxrt 7h ago

So you'd pay money, but you're not willing to smuggle drugs in your butt? You must not want to ride it very much.

22

u/Big_Animal7655 7h ago

correct, I DON’T want it that badly lol

3

u/tdasnowman 5h ago

They build tunnels to avoid the whole ingestion of the drugs thing.

2

u/psychRN1975 6h ago

people do pay for rides on things like this but it'll be $$$$$$$ just a heads up

1

u/Big_Animal7655 6h ago

Excellent point 🤙

68

u/Spam_Meowsubi 7h ago

The slide is sending me lol

5

u/hijolechingada 7h ago

Where?

3

u/0xcryptooor 6h ago

Look at the video, beginning theyre sliding LOL

-1

u/hijolechingada 6h ago

They said it sends them. Where it sends them?

1

u/Voided_Chex 4h ago

To the other end of the tunnel.. watch the video!

1

u/hijolechingada 2h ago

The person that posted the comment is in the video?

1

u/Disastrous_Emu_3628 4h ago

It’s internet terminology for making them laugh.

60

u/GregSDCA 7h ago

Every few years they find one.

They’re already building two or three more to replace this one.

6

u/CaptMerrillStubing 3h ago

And there's probably 10 more in full operation.

u/Whatisnotmyproblem 50m ago

Well there was 11

21

u/brionicle 7h ago

Can we pay these people to build high speed rail tunnels instead? This is serious engineering.

2

u/vam650 2h ago

We will build an underground HSR and make the cartel pay for it!

34

u/ExcitingInflation612 8h ago

“Possibly connects”

28

u/callagem 6h ago

To a "known street". I was unaware there are unknown streets in San Diego?

5

u/TheLoathsomeAssEater 4h ago

Where the streets have no name
We're still building then burning down love

0

u/freylaverse 3h ago

Most of the streets in San Diego are unknown if you don't live there.

48

u/Accomplished-Elk7171 8h ago

Now do the ones attached the Amazon distribution centers in Otay Mesa.

11

u/LittleYellowPill 7h ago

Border patrol uses ground sensors to track foot traffic but those can't detect major mining opperations?

72

u/Enumerous 8h ago

Build that fence taller! Lol

22

u/SeamusMcBalls 7h ago

Everyone knows that humans are no smarter than antelope and fences confound every attempt to cross a boundary. Obviously.

-3

u/ankole_watusi 7h ago

Build it taller on in the other direction - down.

6

u/Neophile_b 7h ago

That's not really an economically viable option

-7

u/ankole_watusi 7h ago

Yet - building that tunnel apparently was!

6

u/Neophile_b 6h ago edited 3h ago

Building a tunnel and building a barrier to prevent any tunnels from happening or not comparable. An underground barrier would have to stretch an enormous distance horizontally. That would cost orders of magnitude more than all the tunnels that I've ever been built under our border. And even if it was built, The likely response would be to tunnel deeper

3

u/MusicalBonsai 6h ago

Obviously, because there’s a lot of money to be made.

0

u/GKoala 4h ago

When Trump was talking about building the wall and I was like, there already is a wall...

17

u/terra_cotta 7h ago

I know it's been a minute, but remember when dipshits thought we were gonna solve this with a fucking wall

8

u/bootwho 7h ago

Mexican Lawenforcement: wheeeeeee!!

8

u/LongjumpingHorse3050 6h ago

what if they pop out into a time share presentation

12

u/Jack-ass-4757 7h ago

Key Word here is “discovered”😂 as if was thru investigation

Mexican authorities on all levels are colluded with this activity

Must’ve not paid the corespondent fee and got called out

1

u/TheMadManiac 5h ago

Nah, not how it works. There are factions

9

u/freexanarchy 7h ago

For every one they find, there must be like 10 other ones they don’t, yeah?

12

u/Ok_Excitement725 7h ago

Yup agreed, and the ones that get “found” probably aren’t in use anymore and given to the cops to distract from the new ones elsewhere. Rinse and repeat every so often and keeps the drugs moving freely

4

u/raizo11 7h ago

Back in around 2016 i was skating around Otay Lakes, and a car comes up to me and asks me if i want a job and hands me a piece of paper with an address on it. The Address led to a dodgy wear house down south. I needed a job at the time but thank god i didnt go😭

12

u/Resident_Cat162 7h ago

BUILD THAT WALL! /s

8

u/Special-Potato-3238 7h ago

All I see is innovation and possibility. Yeah, I get this crazy underground system is driven by money (power) but that's just the stimulus of motivation. I mean, really, look at the level of human willpower, determination and dedication this takes to build. Imagine a mind shift where humans applied this level of effort to make the world a kinder, more creative and joyful place. Fixed mindsets be clogging up reality.

....Some say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one

3

u/hipfreejazz 4h ago

Discovered after some somebody didn't pay off the Mexican law enforcement...

2

u/ScenesfrmtheStruggle 7h ago

1 down, 1,500 to go

2

u/optimist_prhyme 6h ago

They'll never find them all

2

u/lilbrownmutt 6h ago

I like to believe my tortoise is part of the digging team because he digs like crazy and comes home covered with mud.

2

u/juanjung 5h ago

One discovered, 20 more still working full time.

2

u/firestepper 5h ago

saying that it 'possibly connects to a known san diego street' is suprisingly vague? Can't they just go to the end of the tunnel and see where it connects??? lol

5

u/beingafunkynote 4h ago

I’m gonna assume they don’t want people knowing where to secret drug tunnel is.

1

u/firestepper 1h ago

You’re right i didn’t even think that through lol

2

u/SoupOfThe90z 4h ago

You think half way through, they found a elote man?

2

u/gregory92024 4h ago

As the president of Mexico pointed out, drug smuggling wouldn't be such a huge problem if Americans weren't buying so damn many drugs.

2

u/poopbeast69 3h ago

too bad they didn’t have enough money or connections to make it okay, sad

2

u/Pasadenaian 3h ago

This is why "build the wall" is stupid.

2

u/throwaway858231619 3h ago

Can I use that instead of standing in line at PedEast?

2

u/y2k-boomerang 3h ago

So it's just 900 feet from San diego to Mexico? So they mean San Diego county and not the city?

u/astraeoth 12m ago

San Ysidro was rezoned San Diego to legally justify more ICE agents. I'm sure it's there. I used to live there. I could see the Tijuana from my house.

2

u/Empty_Worldliness757 2h ago

$50 to skip the line at the border lol

2

u/mcniner55 2h ago

"discovered"

2

u/MootSuit 2h ago

BuT TrUmP bUiLt ThE wAlL

u/cruisin_urchin87 21m ago

Why don’t they just keep the tunnel open and charge people to take it?

They should commercialize these haha

u/riverrabbit1116 20m ago

Hire these guys to build sewer drainage at the Tijuana River.

2

u/RubPrimary6767 7h ago

How do they move all the dirt out of the homes as they build?

8

u/HOG-onthehunt 7h ago

One pocket-full at a time, like Andy

1

u/psychRN1975 6h ago

shovels and buckets i suppose

1

u/Financial-Creme 5h ago

They show one of these being constructed in Narcos Mexico including dirt disposal

4

u/HoppyRaven12 7h ago

I mean, there are secret tunnels all over the US, in every major city 😅

3

u/BrothelBroth08 7h ago

No I dont think they discovered it i think they got found out and needs someone to blame. Its 2026 with all the tech we have and all the shit they hid I'm finding impossible to believe anything the news and authorities say these days.

0

u/Repulsive_Policy4924 6h ago

Exactly ,it’s lkke modern da hanging hangings to show that they’re making a step towards whatever the issue is blah blah they did it to a Appease the people or whatever lobbyist Organization or group paid for that Senator to do so he’s it she is crunching down on their money to be Coughed up in action! Haha

2

u/oigres408 7h ago

“Discovered”

2

u/Jar-Jar-Kinx 4h ago

You’re telling me that the Mexican authorities discovered this before the US with their super strong secure borders and militia??? Its almost as if one side is properly doing their job and the other is busy fighting their own citizens. /s

1

u/iconmotocbr 7h ago

Wouldn’t it be funny if they accounted for the CBC

1

u/CodeParalysis 6h ago

Nbc: yo dawg, I heard you like borders

1

u/Routine-Cicada-4949 6h ago

They're being used to smuggle gasoline into the USA.

1

u/WatchAltruistic5761 6h ago

Sure af isn’t for all the jobs we don’t have here…

1

u/Chan_Ch 6h ago

More like no longer have a use for it, (because a better one was built) and "discovered" this one to distract. 😂

1

u/cervezaqueso 6h ago

All our friggin money flushed down the drain to ICE and Homeland to supposedly strengthen our borders (like I care), and of course- “Mexican law enforcement discovered“

1

u/jsn_online 6h ago

Why are these always shown after the fact. Where are the arrests and executions. I know its an ongoing process but intermediate results would be nice. Not just the dude that watered the plants on the weekends. The heads of operations.

1

u/AccomplishedGrab788 6h ago

No matter the case its amazing how these guys make these tunnels without any major equipment with just basic tools & good ol fashion man muscle. Talk about digging ditches for a living

1

u/dada2200 6h ago

Oh no! Not another tunnel!! What are we gonna do??!! Hahahaha!!!

1

u/Hyptisx 5h ago

No way they’re selling that dirt weed here..

1

u/OC-Aztec 5h ago

That border wait is so long, they had to do something!

1

u/dancingbananas25 5h ago

Kinda want to ride it

1

u/ShareGlittering8544 4h ago

I just know it’s safe because I know it was built by Mexicans

1

u/invertedMSide 4h ago

I worked out in the sticks near Dulzura for a year and I could swear I could hear one being built

1

u/BRAGU3 4h ago

Crazy how well done these can be made

1

u/No-Chemistry-7802 4h ago

Is this recent?

1

u/Educational_Exam_225 4h ago

This looks like something you make in Minecraft

1

u/Normal_Guy3 4h ago

Lowkey reminds me of Minecraft.

1

u/Wilmaz24 3h ago

What’s the story? What’s new?

1

u/LaloMcNombres 1h ago

I just want to say thank you for saying “Tijuana” correctly.

1

u/Donmiggy143 1h ago

Well there goes my connect. Damn thanks assholes.

1

u/otonagai 1h ago

These Pokopia builds are getting out of hand…

1

u/LIB_Laugh_Luv 1h ago

Straight outta Narcos: Mexico. Also, was that a bag of old weed, lol? There’s like a thousand weed shops in San Diego, haha.

u/R4BB1TC0R3 23m ago

hell yeah build more of them

u/nosmartypants 6m ago

is this new one or a recycled news story?

1

u/deeare73 7h ago

It’s okay. There’s a wall

1

u/OverChildhood9813 4h ago

How long until Trump claims it was his operation???? Kalshi bets go 😂😂

1

u/atomic_transaction 3h ago

wtf? why is “White” and “Black” capitalized in this article?

0

u/Wonderful-Donut-3941 6h ago

But the wall?!?

-2

u/big_daddy_hoops 7h ago

looks american made!

-1

u/Sure_Surprise_1661 5h ago

You ever been to a construction site in America, where are all those workers from?

0

u/maxsamm 6h ago

*another tunnel. They have found a bunch over the years. Honestly they should keep it open and charge admission as a ride for at least one of these

0

u/Suspicious-Prompt200 4h ago

Nobody is illegal. They should just allow anyone using this tunnel to sneak people in to just continue sneaking the people in.

-2

u/CauliflowerBoth866 5h ago

ICE would rather be storming neighborhoods than investigating tunnels built by criminal organizations.

-28

u/LegalGlass6532 8h ago

How does everyone feel about open borders now?

31

u/COYSnizle 8h ago

Let me guess, Obama built this tunnel?

9

u/here-for-the-meh 8h ago

Probably Clinton

6

u/caj_account 8h ago

No it was khamasss

→ More replies (3)

11

u/MAD-1R 7h ago

Are the people asking for open borders in the room with us now?

-11

u/LegalGlass6532 7h ago

I don’t know. I do know it’s pretty scary to see this video and know it’s Mexican law enforcement who discovered it and not US law enforcement. How many others like this are out there in Otay Mesa under all those commercial buildings?

7

u/MAD-1R 7h ago

Why bring up open borders as if it's some widely held position if you "don't know" that anyone's actually holding said position?

-1

u/LegalGlass6532 7h ago

Definitions matter. If by ‘open borders’ you mean no border controls at all, that’s a pretty small group. If you mean looser immigration policies, then there are plenty of people who support that.

5

u/MAD-1R 7h ago

If definitions matter, why are you using "open borders" to describe a position that isn't the actual definition of open borders?

My guess is strawmanning.

→ More replies (4)

9

u/Par_105 7h ago

This isn’t the clever gotcha you think it is. This is illegal and always has been, not a single person is advocating for this.

-2

u/LegalGlass6532 7h ago edited 7h ago

I’m not trying to “gotcha” anyone. I worked in this exact community for years and have seen firsthand the crime associated with this type of illegal activity. This video needs to be seen to reinforce the need for law enforcement patrol at our southern border.

There are thousands of good people and families of US and Mexican decent living on the US side of the border who need to be protected from the crime resulting from illegal drugs entering our country.

3

u/ogliog 7h ago

>the crime that results from these illegal drugs

The laws are what causes the crime. That's how prohibition has always functioned, as a practical matter.

2

u/Sturdywings21 4h ago

Then why is ice spending their time arresting hard working non criminal workers instead of actually doing something to impact the actual crimes being committed. Instead of patrolling Home Depot parking lots, go walk the warehouses at otay Mesa looking for tunnels. No one wants open boarders but we do want effective policies.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 4h ago

What they’re currently doing is wrong, I agree. I can tell you my theory and it’ll be downvoted like I agree with it so I’ll start by saying….I do not agree with what ICE agents seem to be currently doing.

I believe ICE is doing what they’re doing because it’s easy and lazy and makes for “numbers” for their Boss in DC. They are hoping to instill fear in the undocumented people and hoping that fear will lead to a reduction in undocumented crime and reporting of crime.

It’s an absolute misuse and misappropriation of power and disgusting to use fear to dissuade an undocumented victim from reporting a crime in order to keep your crime stats down. It’s a human rights violation and undocumented people have the right to report crimes without fear of retaliation or punishment.

-1

u/Repulsive_Policy4924 6h ago

It’s too simple doesn’t matter the year what time frame with the people are it’s called one Word voters and that’s about it. We think we’re laughing at them in the stupidity , In actuality They are laughing at us., They know how to keep secrets locked , Decades, 20 years 50 yrs! They’re making big steps that affect their generations later in life that we don’t even have a clue of: And that’s all fine and dandy but The problem is it’s with our money, mfers!

3

u/Rift4430 7h ago

That is one well built tunnel.

1

u/Sure_Surprise_1661 5h ago

We don’t have one, so they built a tunnel under it.

0

u/releasethedogs 7h ago

Nobody is for “open borders”.
