Another recommend me post
Hi guys,
I’ve been reading up on robotic lawnmowers for around three weeks, here and there. I’m by no means as knowledgeable as some of you, so I’m here to ask for advice.
I have a fairly small lot around 6,500 sq ft. No slopes, no major obstacles apart from three trees and a shed.
My in-laws will eventually be building a house beside mine with a similar square footage.
That being said, I’m a buy-right-buy-one type of guy.
I’m looking for the best bang for buck mower that will be able to handle both yards without too much effort.
I would like something that will last me more than two to three years.
I was set on getting the Lymow One Plus when it released due to the blades and the battery tech being more advanced than Mammotion, but with the recent reviews I’ve seen lately, I’m kind of steering away.
I’m from Quebec, Canada, so we have cold weather grass.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Thank you

I'm new to these mowers, but it seems that all of the new models for this year from the more popular companies are having some growing pains. There still isn't one that encompasses all technologies and reliably does its job without some level of interaction.
My research was all on 4WD mowers, which will be overkill for your needs. I have been pleased overall with the Worx Landroid VC while others with similar needs recommended the Segway Navimow X4 models. Both those manufacturers have comparable 2WD models, but I have no idea of relative pricing or value - just that they're considerably less expensive than the 4WD entries.
The technology is still early days with rapid changes that are mostly improvements. I'm hopeful my Landroid is still effective and keeps getting better throughout its 3 year warranty and then I'll reevaluate as needed. I'd expect that many of the bigger names will be a similar value through that time as well.

Look for a wireless model rated for double your current yard size. Multi-zone mapping will make managing both properties seamless. Avoid over-hyped pre-orders!

LiDAR equipped models perform well around trees and small buildings. They adapt steadily to simple terrain and work reliably across two separate yards.

For cheap, but with risk, you could grab a Panther on Kickstarter. $1199 US for a LiDAR mower. Not available until the end of the season at best. Overkill for your yards.
I suggest LiDAR for the trees and you'd avoid an RTK antenna that might have to be put inside in winter.
MOVA LiDAX Ultra 2000? Sunseeker Elite X4? Each $1599 US
The TerraMow V1000 uses vision only. Software is quite good, but it is oh so slow. $1399 US with $150 additional off in spring sale. They put the original TerraMows through some crazy tests like dunking them in creeks, throwing them, etc. I have an older one that I use to mow my neighbors' yards.
