Podcasts/Audiobooks Other Podcast recommendations?
I drive for a living and register to these stupid XFM shows all the time, and would love some variety.
What other podcasts do you goggle eyed freak lizard boys enjoy?

- Adam & Joe (XFM/6 Music) - for 00's UK Radio
- Ed Gamble & Matthew Crosby (Radio X) - for radio presenters that clearly have contempt for the medium
- Three Bean Salad - for the ramblings of a bald man and his two friends/co-presenters
- Elis James & John Robins (XFM/Radio X/5Live) - because XFM didn't learn and continued to put comedians on the radio
- Athletico Mince - for Bob Mortimer

Fin vs History is the best one coming out atm imo. That and cumtown get closest to the RSK magic for me

It’s like US Office version all over again.
They have the neurodivergent engine of comedy in Karl/Nick, the cackling laugh-track who became mainstream successful in Ricky/Stav, and the speccy spendthrift who was the hidden talent all along in Steve/Adam.

If you are a fan of Ian boldsworths work check out his initial podcast called 'the Ray peacock podcast very similar to xfm as in Raji James plays a Karl pilkington esque role. Ed gamble is In it.
A bit more of a polished podcast is the peacock and gamble podcast. Very silly with Ed gamble and Ray peacock.

I sometimes listen to here comes the guillotine which has that same aimless meandering and feeling as though you’re in a room with them. I know these xfm podcasts too well now. Years of rinse and repeat the magic is finally fading

Not a podcast, but try James H Reeves radio show. There’s clips on YouTube, the ones with Gary Burt taking the piss are class. Proper northern twaddle

I go on Fourble and listen to all the Adam and Joe shows from xfm and 6music as well as the ray peacock and peacock & gamble podcast (years before ed did off menu)

Russell brand show on 6 music and radio 2. They were recorded around same time as xfm shows. The first few have Karly Pilkoids producing but they get funny from about the twelfth show onwards

If you despise the rogansphere style comedians, Redbar radio is a good listen. The guy who runs it is a legit jerk but somewhat refreshingly he doesn't pretend to be some sort of nice guy and is exceptionally quick witted and psychologically intelligent in his breakdowns of "comedy".
