General Discussion SEASON 9 E2 might be a 10 Spoiler

This is byfar the most psychological episodes ive seen in rick and morty. That shit was fuckin beautiful. Even when rick tries to completely switch personas he ends up becoming like himself, he is so intelligent, that misery comes his way and all he can do is drink it off. Shits crazy Rick is just symbolism for the curse of intelligence atp

We carry our cages with us.

Running away and not fundamentally changing our values and worldview will just find us in the same cage, just with a different color.

If Rick would truly commit to the simpler lifestyle that gave him so much more peace and contentment, he'd have it, but he wants to have his cake Simple Rick Wafer Cookie and remain a technological God with the vanity/ego baggage that comes with it at the same time.

Great episode. Rick able to enjoy some real friends and then tainting their characters. Classic touch to why Rick doesn’t want to be Rick and why people can’t be frnds with Rick.

Yeah, but at least this one has an interesting thing to say about it (Rick would still go down the same failings and dead-ends even if things he was left to his own devices, he did have the choice to press the blue button, he didn't)

Honestly the fact that I waoted for a post credit scene and it just ended, made it all the worse/better
