Am i unintentionally doing RV?

I’m not into remote viewing. I mediate, deeply. Sometimes i get distracted because i start seeing roads and explore houses. It’s vivid but transparent like. Like a cloud and the middle is what I’m viewing. I’m able to zoom out and look at earth like a map, and can explore wherever very vividly. Now i have no idea if this is remote viewing, or simply just my imagination. I do see people, working, living. No sounds. It’s cool tho! For you experienced folk, is this RV? If not what is it?

I don’t know what to tell you but you might find this interesting. I have aphantasia, so when I close my eyes its pretty much just pitch black.

Yet sometimes and usually when im trying to sleep or something I will suddenly start seeing things and feeling.. “weird”? The visions are still pretty dark but it’s like they slowly get a bit more illuminated. Then if I become to “aware” of it I guess I kind of break it and it’s back to darkness.

No idea what the hell that’s about.

I had aphantasia too, and I learned that doing something artistic regularly and practice, has actually let me "see" in my minds eye now. I didn't know there was a "cure" initially but I tried very hard anyway, and turns out there is.

Odd you say that. Not discrediting just odd as I have been artistic my entire life. Not just visual but musically, writing, ect. I still wouldn’t say I have cured it but I am able to see some stuff now. It’s usually dark and like something in a poorly lit room surrounded by smoke lol, but seeing anything at all is pretty amazing. I think for me it took a combination of realization (that is was abnormal), and focused thinking. (Kind of like meditation), that said being in a near sleep state helps a lot as im confident your dreams are just as visual as mine.

I'm sure it's dependent on person, but I too didn't even realize that wasn't normal until a couple years ago and only started trying to change it in the last year.

I work on drawing and painting and writing mostly. Maybe making a picture of something in real life helps me to make it in my mind.

I started meditating and attempting to see pictures and I'd eventually get glimpses. Usually though, they are short and are completely random. Like if I was trying to see the common one "The apple", I'd see random flashes of things that had nothing to do with what I wanted to see and Idk where it came from other than I guess the dream like side of the subconscious.

For example I once saw a man jogging and running through a sprinkler. That's not an experience I had seen anytime recently or had on my mind, it's just what I "saw".

Now in the last month or two, I can control it slightly better. I'll want to see an apple and I'll see someone taking a bite of one. Or I want to see a spoon but I picture it on a counter top, not just the spoon itself.

I think practicing is what helps most, but definitely notice it working more after I do something creative like painting or drawing.
