Obsession Spoiler

At the end, after his friends makes the wish for a billion dollars, why did Bear go to Nikki? Couldn't he have just gone to someone else to ask them to make the wish? Especially with all that money, he could just pay some random person or another friend to make the wish.

Bear thought she would do anything he asked? I mean, he did return to her after she fed him his dead cat.

You could make anyone do that with all the money he just got. The only plausible explanation I can think of is he just wasn't thinking straight, but it seems a bit forced.
