Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Delayed swelling?
So I did my conch on Tuesday and it was fantastic until last night about 2am, it actually woke me up. I bragged to my husband before bed lastnight that it felt great with no swelling then boom! Its so dam sore. I have seen some posts about delayed swelling but is it really a thing? And why? And is it normal?
Not downsized, 4 days old, saline 2-3x a day, no bumps or mishaps, implant grade and 10mm long labret type flatback first 2 pics Tuesday fresh and next are like 3am last night.

It’s normal for cartilages to take up to a week to swell. Mine didn’t swell up till day 3, and got ridiculously bad on day 4, and took 3 days to start going down.
It’s normal. Happens whenever I get any piercing. It’s always a few days to a week in for the swelling to be at its worst before getting better usually by end of second week. Helps if you preemptively take an anti inflammatory before the swelling really starts if you intend to get more in the future.
