Delayed swelling?

So I did my conch on Tuesday and it was fantastic until last night about 2am, it actually woke me up. I bragged to my husband before bed lastnight that it felt great with no swelling then boom! Its so dam sore. I have seen some posts about delayed swelling but is it really a thing? And why? And is it normal?

Not downsized, 4 days old, saline 2-3x a day, no bumps or mishaps, implant grade and 10mm long labret type flatback first 2 pics Tuesday fresh and next are like 3am last night.

Well im not a doctor, or a piercer, but I would imagine delayed swelling happens because of the low blood flow in the area. Maybe it takes awhile for all the fluid to get there? My ears take awhile to realize they have been pierced too. I stay swollen for months, hopefully yours goes down soon!
