This is pretty much exactly what I just built. With a Microcenter bundle, my total was under $1.2k including taxes

Find a placeholder GPU on your local marketplace, look for a 1660 super, 2060, 5600xt, or RX590 for like $60 or less. Then find a monitor with at least 120hz refresh rate, at most 3ms response rate, and at least 24in (ideally IPS or VA panel) avoid TN panels. Most people won't know these specs so ask them for the model number on the back and look it up yourself. After that reassess your budget and come back to reddit. Let us know that you have a monitor and temporary placeholder GPU. It's much better to pour your budget into the heart of the build and then start saving up for a GPU appropriate to the rest of the specs.

Try to work in 32gb of 6000mhz ram, 850w or 1000watt PSU so you aren't limited come GPU upgrade time, AMD Motherboard (preferably MSI) and AMD CPU (preferably X3D), and a gen4x4 1TB NVME SSD.

Feel free to DM me if you'd like more tailored assistance with all of the above.

Sorry, I forgot to specify. I do not need a monitor

And also, I only need 16 GB of ram

May I ask why you only need 16 gigs?

Do you live near a micro enter?

I wouldn't mind driving to one. What would you suggest I do?
