Soft collars i made 🥹

Hi all, my boy has an underwing plucking issue going on for couple of months and vet gaved us a plastic e-collar. In the country where i live there is no other collars than plastic so i made my sweety a soft collar because plastic one cuts his neck skin 😭 He is really comfy in his collar and i thought, i should make more to give the vet so babies in need gets some comfort 😭😭 Vet really liked the idea so im making them. Just wanted to share for people who wants to make their own. Just cut a 10,5 cm diametered circle from bird safe felt and and add another layer for thickness, sew them together open a small neck area and decorate them how you want. Thats it ✨

I bought a plastic collar for my plucker and she couldn’t even move wearing it. How did you make these please? I want to try making one for my mango.

Sorry for your Mango 😓 Hope things get better quickly. So you cut a circle out of felt with diameter of 10-10.5 cm and cut another layer (i made second layer a little small for decoration but can be same size for better protection, also you can make it even three layered for extra protection) so you have two circulat felt pieces, fold one in half and fold that half moon again so you get a cone like shape. Cut the tip of it (cut small, you can always make it bigger if needed. Neck hole should have 2,5 - 3 cm diameter) do this to other piece, cut one side so you can place it on the birdie. Sew pieces together and decorate, done.
