The trick is finding the way they like to eat them! Try different presentations, hanging from a clip, in a bowl of shallow water(also a good way to introduce a bath!), cut into chop, mixed with hard boiled eggs, whole chunks, or just slivers! Anything you can think of will help them become more interested. I will say with caution, this is the only time I think a mirror is ok, use it as a plate so they see “another bird” checking out the food and feel safer as a result. Do not keep the mirror all the time.
