How do Norwegian speakers really understand spoken Danish? I’m watching a show in Norwegian, Home for Christmas, and while I can somewhat make out what the Norwegian cast are saying, for the life of me I don’t understand how Norwegian speakers are able to understand spoken Danish without problems

A lot of us don't really. I usually switch to English when speaking with a Dane. Unless he goes really slow and keeps it simple.

It's mostly about exposure, so others do much better than me.
