day 100 or so of chinamaxxing. learning about all the regional stereotypes. my report:

  • people who live in shanghai are apparently very materialistic and superficial in a tacky way

  • guangdong people dress unpretentiously and eat literally anything (including people from fujian)

  • everyone in chengdu is gay

crazy how consistent this stereotype is

every single chinese person i asked doesn't seem to think it's a joke, they're just like "oh yeah, everyone in chengdu is gay. everyone knows this"
