Now I'm curious what the argument of the video is. Because I imagine Marx assumed someone so prone to eccentric displays of his massive wealth would be the perfect propaganda to ignite the social revolution.

I watched the video so you all don’t have to.

The thesis is that Mr Beast’s videos about making poor people do crazy shit for money is the ultimate form of Marx’s concept of Commodity Fetishism, because he has reduced altruism to a shallow, marketable product for our passive consumption
