photos Morel with black stem

Post image

Went out morel picking in a burn this weekend and found morels of all kinds of different appearances. There were two morels I found that really stood out though because they were the only ones that where not only was the cap black, but the stem was also black. Every other morel I've ever seen as a white/tan stem. Looking around online I wasn't able to find any info about this. I was wonder if it is a particular species or just something about the location it grew?

Note: while the outer surface of the stem is black, the inside of the mushroom is still whitish.

do you have any idea what false morels look like, or the likelihood of finding one co occurring in a burn with true morels?
