This texting incident occurred barely 1 year ago!!! Didn't he know he was running for senate then? What was he thinking? Also, doing this to your wife only THREE YEARS INTO THE MARRIAGE!?! Poor character.

Should that matter to voters? Should they base their votes based on a politicians character?

Should everyone base their votes on a politician's character? If someone votes for a politician with unambiguously poor character and that politician is elected, should that person be able to criticize others for voting without regard for character?

My point is, we've clearly reached a point where the character of a politician is not only no longer heavily considered by at least 49.8% of the voting population. As a matter of course, it can even be a hinderance.

This saddens me to no end - like you I'll continue to evaluate the character of who I vote for.

It doesn't just show poor character, it shows he's a fucking nitwit for doing that knowing he's running for US Senate. What an idiot.
