I really thought this was a toss away year. But the more I look into players I feel like Miami will at least be competitive in games. I was kind of mad that this might be a boring year were I watch but asking myself why. Now I feel like I don't expect to win or even make play offs but will watch a ton of budding developing players that could make year 2 into a massive success.

I’m no longer expecting 0 wins. I will say I am still excited. The players we have will provide a great foundation.

I think we’ll be that team everyone treats as a bye week but if you don’t come to play that Sunday you’ll find yourself fighting late in the game to win. Especially if our run game is dominant and if our defensive rookies can translate their collegiate turnover capabilities to the NFL.

I’m going to state the obvious but the won-loss record will largely depend on QB play, and there isn’t enough of a sample size to project what that will look like. But aside from that unknown, the talent isn’t as lacking as it’s made out to be IMO, IF a decent number of rookies pan out, and they could surprise opponents later in the season as young players get more comfortable with the schemes.

True. It will depend on these things: QB play, Can Chris bell and Caleb Douglas make an impact, can our secondary hold up, and can our defense line impact the passer

I look at it like we had what, 7 wins.
We will be a better team this yr, that should lead to more wins. It feels logical to me.

Don’t know why you don’t have more likes. I’m sitting here in my backyard catching some rays and chuckled out loud with your comment!

I’ll be happy with average play from the CBs this year.

Average is far higher than I am expecting. It's going to be by far the weakest link on our defense.
And our defense has weak links everywhere.

I think our run D will be good. We’re really just lacking pass D (pass rush and secondary). Although our secondary could be decent with Johnson, Marshall, Trader, Taaffe, and whatever vets step up and hopefully Chop ups his game this year

Depending on who we have on the field on run downs, we really have nobody who can set the edge, so there may be holes in our run D too...

Idk about you guys but I have such a bad taste from igbo regarding late first round CBs. Not fair at all to Chris, guess I just need to see it before I get hyped.

Vontae Davis was a late 1st. Sean Smith was a 2nd. Xavien Howard was an early 2nd. We've hit some pro bowl players, even if Jeff Ireland 86ed the Davis and Smith because he was brain damaged. They should have fired Ireland on the spot and told him to call his grandma.

There's actually a split second flash of Cam Miller with his helmet on and back turned at :08, so that answers that. Just show the throw at that point ffs
