Looks to me that he has a severance agreement with the team and received payments in accordance with that agreement that the Dolphins are now trying to claw back.
My guess is that part of that agreement was that he agreed to not sue the team for any reason and the obviously we know that’s not what happened.
I’m sure there is more nuance to it but this is what this sounds like.
I think it is done out of principle. In the Dolphins view probably they have done nothing wrong by dismissing him, while he clearly flouted his NDA that was part of his general employment contract and divulged confidential team information.
I don't think the dolphins ever admitted any wrongdoing, so this kind of defense is par for the course.
Flores going to the media about it is also par for the course. Lawyers and people suing each other doing standard things.
edit: /u/thediesel26 to the rescue, english is my second language, thanks for correcting me used the right expression now :)
Rich people trying to get richer off their workers wages???? Yes, I do think billionaires have time for that. If they didn't they wouldn't be billionaires.
All the things Dolphins fans may not like about Stephen Ross, he hasnt been afraid to spend a bunch of money on the team.
Also, Miami has had multiple awful coaches and theres no reports of the franchise trying to claw money back from them. Cam Cameron, Joe Philbin, Adam Gase, etc.
Not saying its not true but people with money understand risk and will cut bait. If they are suing for money back there is probably a good reason that will stand up in a civil court.
No. But it's not necessary his fault this happened. He got put in a bad position, got fired for being an asshole, and then proceeded to continue to be an asshole and snitched.
They nickel and dime people's wages for significantly less than hundreds of thousands of dollars. You and people like you are barely floating around room temperature IQ, next you are going to say that billionaires provide jobs and pay more taxes than everyone else. Wage theft is literally more than half of all theft in the country by dollar value, yet not one person ever goes to prison for it 🤔.
It's impossible for any of us to know the details or if this is true or not at this stage, but if your reaction to a corporation worth billions of dollars allegedly forcing an ex-employee to pay back earned income is "good" or anything along those line, simply because he wasn't a good coach, you probably should take a step back and reevaluate.
I'd assume they'd have legal precedent instead just performance based in their suit. I do not know but I'm not willing to just say "corporations bad" without learning more. Groupthink is not a good thing. In essence, I reject your premise and desire to shame because "muh corporations."
Is that statement true or false? If true, I’m glad you agree with me. If false, can you explain how the subs I mentioned are not safe for right-leaning individuals?
I dont care for Fox News BTW. I care about my own core beliefs. I suggest you do the same and realize it isnt just left and right. This goes for the original posted whose premise was that if anyone who disagrees with his belief of "corporations bad" must undeniably be for corporations and as such is a terible person. Its a stupid morality high ground trying to show false purity and completely childish.
My counter was that its about truth instead of preconceived notions against one particular side. We need to know more about the language in Flores contract before picking a side.
His premise was so bad he deleted his account a moment ago when he realized how poornhis argument was.
You think Elon is a champion of free speech. The guy who bans people for telling the truth. Or demonitizes them, or shadow bans them because they criticize him. That tells me everything I need to know about you. It doesn't matter if we're talking about the Fins or about tax policy, you'll believe absolute nonsense as truth.
Youre out of your mind. Where can the right express free speech without getting banned because 98% Silicon Valley company donations go to democrats and they can deplatform you by breaking "their rules." These rules are slanted to remove any dissention against all left learning talking points.
When did I say Elon was a champion of free speech btw? I will wait.
Do you even think before you type? It's embarrassing.
Yeah right wingers can't say blatantly racist and defamatory things on social media so free speech doesn't exist!! You're an idiot. That's not free speech. Free speech is saying what you want without being prosecuted by the government. That's it. Private companies can do whatever they want. And yes, you absolutely implied Elon was a champion of free speech. And that's because you're an idiot.
When did I claim racism being allowed is free speech? I clearly defined right wingers are banned for not following leftiest talking points. Like... what? Are you actually this disingenuous or just plain dumb?
Your argument on Elon is basically that if I support said thing you will extrapolate it and thus decide I'm guilty of supporting a completely different subject or person. Thank God you arent in charge of the legal system. The defense would never have the presumption of innocence. Why have trials? Let's just make you the judge because you're all knowing! Your ideology is that of a child. Grow up, kid. If you're an adult with children, i pity them because thinking as such would be child abuse. Guilty until proven innocent.
Crazy because your comment history hits all their favorite talking points
This goes for the original posted whose premise was that if anyone who disagrees with his belief of "corporations bad" must undeniably be for corporations and as such is a terible person
That was not my original point, feel free to read it again and see if your reading comprehension has improved.
His premise was so bad he deleted his account a moment ago when he realized how poornhis argument was.
Crazy my account has not been deleted actually. You literally replied to me telling me I deleted my account lol. Good try.
You know that reddit says "edited" on edited comments, right? There's an example of this on your comment that I replied to lmfao. You edit comments and then try to call other people out for it who didn't edit lmfao
Nothing that you said stands in need of refutation, all you did was say that you sided with the corporation by default while feigning ideological neutrality. I demonstrated that you are not, in fact, ideologically neutral, thus undermining your already flimsy posturing
Typical braindead take. Guy just blatantly flouted his NDA for personal gain and you think he should get to keep his money? Guys is a race hustler who should have never been a head coach in the first place if it were not for the rooney rule and our moronic owner.
Wow redditor hates rich people and thinks a literal 80 IQ buffoon is actually the good guy for grifting. BTW it wasn't "earned income." It was a severance that was conditional on not breaking several parts of an agreement, which he quite clearly did break.
redditor hates rich people and thinks a literal 80 IQ buffoon is actually the good guy for grifting
This is all completely made up by you, you realize that right? That I never said any of that? Literally fighting arguments in your own head online lmao
BTW it wasn't "earned income." It was a severance that was conditional on not breaking several parts of an agreement
It took about 10 seconds to find out that you just completely made this up
I know you’re a Flo lover but if he didn’t open his giant mouth, we would’ve have lost the pick.
Upper management does things like that all the time around the league. Coaches are supposed to keep it on the low
I’m not a Flo lover? And I’ll never blame the person who exposed the misbehavior instead of the person who misbehaved lmao. Basic accountability. Especially dumb to try to pull the loyalty card on a dude who you just fired
You think Flo didn’t misbehave at all? Why is there nobody from his former staff that will go to bat for him? Why do players like fitz come out and say how bad Flo got? Let’s agree to disagree then dude. You probably think it’s got something to do with him being black right? 😂
The team setting up a private meeting to land the Greatest QB ever is misbehaving? Dude thank goodness you’ll never work in that profession lol
Let’s not talk about his staff hiring decisions on the offensive side, let’s not talk about how he sabotaged players careers, also how he advocated for the GM to be fired behind his back! He definitely sucked at personal relations, that’s an understatement.
Steve Ross was able to get a private meeting with Brady so he can play for the Dolphins. Teams do things like that ALL the time, you just don’t hear about it. It’s tampering, and it’s arguably ridiculous.
Two things can be true for sure, but one of the two things can outweigh the other immensely as well. Stop sticking up for him because of his skin color
Yeah, I was trying to be concise because again, I don’t think it’s relevant to discuss Flores’ own failures in a conversation about who was at fault for Ross’ actions.
Cool story, still tampering and still against league rules.
You’re literally arguing against a strawman, NONE of the things you’re arguing against are things I’ve even remotely claimed.
I am specifically arguing that Ross is at fault for his own actions. Whatever the fuck Flores also did meanwhile is irrelevant to that fact
This MF is salty as the ocean. If the Dolphins were Bill Goldberg, this dude has Brett Hart written all over him. Face it, B. You just ain't HC material.
